600ml bottle served in a tulip glass. Pours a deep black oily color forming a creamy and solid tan head with big retention and some thin molasses lacings formed and left in the glass. Nose is complex. Wonderful. Roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, licorice. Grassy and flowery hops. Taste is like the nose. Sweet upfront. Strong notes of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, licorice and grassy hops. Great bitterness. Mix of roasted malts and hops. Heavy body. Medium to low carbonation. Intense and persistent roasted malts aftertaste. Excellent drinkability. Masterpiece.

Excellent Imperial Stout. The most remarkable details are its consistent, creamy, thick foam and full body. Overall, a great Christmas ale.

A bohókás üvegben mutatós küllemű főzet lakozik, fekete testére bézs habpaplan terül; így nézhet ki a sör, mely a Mikulásnak is kedvére való lehet. Lágyan pörkölt, télies illatú maláta aromája alól friss, zöldes komló hangulata is ki-kifigyel, selymesen csúsznak a kortyok, szinte siklanak, pihe-puha jegyeket hagyva útjuk során. Az ital mellé társuló alkoholfok mértéke lényegében észrevehetetlen, az emelkedett hangulat megalapozásához mindenesetre hathatós eszköznek bizonyul. Faháncs, pörkölt csonthéjasok, kávé és étcsokoládé biztosítják a mély tartalmú ízvilágot, miközben a jókedvű fogyasztó azon töpreng, válhatna-e vajon még ennél is remekebb főzet a sörből egy jóféle érlelés áldásos pártfogása mellett... A válasz a hordóérlelt verzió birtokában alighanem rendelkezésre áll majd, amennyiben egy hasonlóan sörgazdag karácsonykor alkalom adódik a megtapasztalására.

Lightly grassy on the finish. Dry, sweet, sugary, chewy. Typical imperial stout. a bit overly sweet. Have had better amateur home brew.

Pitch black pour with lots of lacing. Nice aroma of roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. Initial flavour is milk chocolate with some coffee before spices and a slight sourness takes over. A nice, complex Christmas stout I’d try again!
