Pours Black with a huge pillowy tight, mocha foam head. Laces all night. Smells like coffee, roasted malts, dark chocolate, and a bit of burnt sugars. Tastes like nose with a nice hop bitterness in the middle then a slightly spicy finish like cinnamon. Palate is not as thick as everything else led me to believe it would be but it isn’t thin. A great stout.

Barwa ciemno brunatna, piana ładna, intensywna i brązowa. Aromat przyjemny, acz nie zniewalający. Trochę nut czekoladowych, podszytych wyraźną palonością. W tle czerwone owoce i powiew alkoholu. W smaku niestety wraz z każdym łykiem alkohol zaczyna odgrywac główną rolę. Kakao i czekolada, pokrywana jest cierpką nutą alkoholową, dość ordynarną i nieprzyjemną. W tle kawa espresso. Wybitnie degustacyjne.

On tap at Franklin Tap - Chicago. Pour is close to black with a medium tan head. Aroma and flavor of cocoa, dried fruit, pine hops, and roasted malt. Finish is pretty hoppy for a imperial stout with added notes of candi sugar and yeast.

Btl pours a black color like dirty motor oil. Huge tight compact dark tan head, lingers forever never dissapating. The inside of glass is covered with lace with each gulp of beer consumed. Aromas of chocolate, coffee, earth, toasted bread, burnt sugar, a whiff of licorice and a hint of booze. Tastes of milk chocolate, espresso, sweet toffee, figs and alcohol. Big full body, nice almost nitro like carbonation, soft creamy mouthfeel and a roasty finish. This beer is great tasting and smooth. It will definitely warm you up on a cold winter night. Bold, robust flavors keep me wanting more, unfortunately I only have one bottle. Outstanding imperial stout! FYI bottle dated 9/1/11.

Smells strongly of roast, bitter coffee, dark fruit and cocoa. Dull black color with a large pillow of beige foam. Tastes chocolatey and creamy at first, with a roast and hop bite at the end. More carbonation than I like in a stout, other than that, the palate is spot on. An ok imperial stout, I probably would not buy this again.

Butelka. Barwa czarna, nieprzejrzysta. Alkohol doskonale ukryty, delikatnie gryzie podniebienie. Piwo super, chodź nie powoduje wielkich zachwytów. Można znaleźć tańsze odpowiedniki europejskie.

Bottle. Aroma is licorice, slight dark fruits, dark cocoa malts, vanilla, slight smoke. Taste is tangy, smoky-ish sweet. Boozy! Not overly stylized but very enjoyable

De color negro, con espuma beige de duración media. Aroma a café, chocolate y malta torrefacta.
