Coffee aroma. Some slight sherbet. Coffee in the taste too. Quite creamy. Nice burnt and hoppy palate. However, retronasally I’m getting battery acid, which ain’t so great. Pretty good sipper, covers the alcohol quite well.

22 oz bottle received via trade with bmartin08. Pours opaque with a small, frothy, dark brown head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (molasses, chocolate, coffee), average hops (perfume), average yeast (leather) with notes of alcohol, prunes, and tar. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

from crackedkettle.com - black coloured and with a little elusive beige foam; fair aroma of roasted malts with strong notes of black chocolate, some licorice, prune and hop presence too; quite thick, solid malt backbone and a robust sweetness; some balance comes from the hops; bitter/sweet finish with strong notes of chocolate, licorice and a touch of vanilla
