Everything but the kitchen sinkGreat Western Premium Two Row, Wheat, Carvienne, Caramunich, 95-115, 135-165L Crystal Malts, Chocolate, Roasted and Black Barley and Pale Chocolate. We also add some Brown Sugar and some Dark Belgian Candi Sugar to boost the Original Gravity. The beer is hopped with East Kent Goldings, Mt. Hood, Liberty, and Challenger. It is unfiltered with an OG of 1.094 and 10.0% ABV. Proprietary Ale Yeast.

Bottled. Pitch black coloured. Dense brown head. Chocolate, roast, alcohol, coffee and berries in the aroma. Flavour of chocolate, roast, caramel, alcohol, herbs. Full bodied. Very smooth and silky on the palate. Cocoa, sweetness and bitterness in the end. Very balanced and easy to drink. Very nice one.

Bomber poured a nearly opaque black with lasting brown head. Aromas of coffee, licorice, bitter chocolate, light carmel ands light vanilla. Palate was medium to full bodied and smooth with a dry fin ish. Flavors of bitter chocolate, coffee, vanilla, light oak and a hint of licorice with a smooth dry lingering chocolate finish.

22 oz bottle received via trade with bmartin08. Pours opaque with a small, frothy, dark brown head, mostly diminishing with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (molasses, chocolate, coffee), average hops (perfume), average yeast (leather) with notes of alcohol, prunes, and tar. Full bodied, creamy texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, moderate sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Black with large beige head. Sweet aroma with bruned malt, coffee and cocolate notes. Sweet flavour with roasted malt, chocolate and hops and chocolate notes. Bitter roasty finish.

Bottella. Thanks to Emil/Sk8viking and Joergen for sharing. Black colour good steady light brown head leaving a good lacing. Roasty maltiness in the aroma with chocolate. Very good mouthfeel. the flavour has a a good soft roasted maltiness with chocolate, some liquorice and soem coffee. Roasty bit dry chocolatey finish. Tasty brew indeed.

Courtesy of Nbutler11, thanks Nick. It is a vintage 08 and now its April 09. It is pitch black with a dark brown, creamy head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, chocolate, dark, preserved fruits and light alcohol. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, chocolate, preserved fruits and light wood. It is smooth, harmonic and delicious and a light bitter finish.

Bottle. Basically a black pour wtih a dark brown head. Aroma is charred wood molasses chocolate and toasted malt. Flavor is full of roasted malt, chocolate and finishes with a bit of bitterness and more roasty flavors. Mouthfeel is medium. Very good beer.

Bottle thanks to DaSilky. Pours black with tan head. Nose is roasted malts and chocolate. Taste is very roasted malts, some chocolate, a light bourbon, brown sugars and a slightly dry finish.

Bomber. Pours inky black with a large foamy brown head. Good head retention. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts and a bit of umami and green hops. The taste is roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, green coffee, mild hints of vanilla and caramel. Medium bodied, low carbonation, slight alcohol warmth. Straightforward, solid imperial stout.
