This is a classic West Coast-style imperial red ale brewed with medium crystal malts, centennial and cascade hops. The color is a burnt amber with red highlights and the aroma has a spicy hop presence with moderate caramel malt accents. The taste is a smooth, malty one with a balanced hoppy finish that includes hints of sweet caramel

Very nice color. Fruity aroma, filled with sour, warm, and some spicy notes. Very well-balanced fruit and caramel taste. Sweet, with fresh citrus notes still.

For my taste this is a great beer. Deep amber color and a he tan foamy head. Lots of hop fragrance and a big and balance mouth of malts and hops.

Deep copper red clear colour with a frothy large slowly fading light tan head with good lacings. On the nose aromas of citrus, resin and some traces of herbal-caramel arise with a subtle hint of litschi. Softly carbonated the beer offers a light slick texture, medium body starting off with a sweet flavour impression which is quickly surpassed by solid hop bitterness which dries out a bit in the centre. Malt and hops are well balanced giving the hops a lovely solid malt stage to really shine. The finish is lasting with a light yet noticeable bitterness on the back of the palate.

On draft at Mad Mex North Hills as part of a tap takeover. Tastes like they might have borrowed some yeast from the Lost Abbey side of the building. Sneaky smooth like a shark should be.

Bottle. Dark amber hazy. Dark berries, pines, sort of murky malty caramels, even some plummy notes. Full bodied, pretty intensive flavours. Sweets, bittes, plummy caramels, herbs. Herby bitter finish. Lots of flavours, but seems a bit randomly thrown together. Decent, clean, though.

Nja, lite fadd, samtidigt som den är fruktig. Mycket smak, men kanske lite väl mycket av allt?

Wow - very rich aroma, pours deep red and a bit hazy... There is fruit in the smell but rich fruit, probably the alcohol deepen the aroma, it’s really rich and complex. More plum in cognac than citrus.. Nice thick foam that stays for a long time. Taste is rich, malty, sweet but vary balanced. Again lots of rich fruit towards caramel and some hints of fruit brandy, really good .. I really, really like this one... Need to find more... Amazing beer.. One of the best I have tasted.

Strong tasting and strongly alcoholic, but still smooth to drink. Another one to have in small doses.

Aroma is medium/heavy malts with dense caramels and a hefty dose of grass. Taste is pretty heavy malts, warming from alcohol, hoppy and... red. Indeed, just the brew you need after a big battle with a shark. No animals were injured or hurt during the review.

Probably the richest beer I’ve tasted. Wow, I’m stunned. Great, greater, greatest. Some caramell malt with some pine hops aswell as citrus and herbs. Great lingering bitterness with a very full body. Light sticky and oily.
