UPDATED: JUN 12, 2009 2009-05-11, 8-5-8-5-16=42 Beautiful red-amber color, cloudy, with a medium-sized creamy head. The malt and hops combine into a very nice aroma, reminding some vanilla too, fruity, true American character, also buttery, and with light earthy traces. Medium body strength, caramel flavor, some residual sweetness (just the necessary) and strong resiny bitterness; there are hints of bitter orange too. Balanced, very enjoyable, solid.
2009-02-06, bottle at Ølbaren, Copenhagen, 8-5-8-5-16=42 Good, sweet and hoppy beer, good body and sweetness, powerful and balanced.
