4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle@Schouskjelleren. Pours a dark amber with a huge creamy beige rocky head. Tons of lace. Looks great. ARoma of citrus, tropical fruits, burnt sugars, caramel.. Intensely hoppy on the nose. but it smells like it’s going to be backed up with a considerable sweetness. Some pine/resiny quality to it as well. A sip revleas that this one has got a lot of everything. Tons of bitterness up front, some burnt notes that is reinforced by the massive hop finish. Very fruity, with a pine needle finish. Fairly calm mouthfeel, not flat though. Quite full bodied. This is intense and delicious.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Lord Hobo. Pours a clear red with a small offwhite head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of nice fruity and perfumey hops over a caramel base. Taste is of pine, caramel and moderately bitter balancing the moderately sweet caramel. Body is medium and carbonation moderately high. Overall a nice double red IPA but not too distinctive, still really nice though.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
The description says it best: "The color is a burnt amber with red highlights and the aroma has a spicy hop presence with moderate caramel malt accents. The taste is a smooth, malty one with a balanced hoppy finish that includes hints of sweet caramel" Very true. Well-balanced malt / hop concoction. A couple steps shy of a barley wine but without the burn. Very smooth.

on tap at lord hobo. cloudy dark red pour with a nice off-white head, reviving and leaving some lacing. red and peppery wheat, tasty candy and barley sugars - never cloying - very fruity - strawberry jam, almost juicy sweet melons and melanoidin, sweetish nuts, ginger and pine, other spices - hot ones, herbal tea leafiness, clean yeast. average carbonation, medium body - oily and sticky; semi-sweet gently piney-citrusy finish. much enjoyed!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Lord Hobo. Deep amber red pour, thin ring of white head. Aroma is quite hoppy, lots of toasted malt aromas, very toasty, light alcohol, pine. Taste is bitter, piney, heavily hopped, more like an old school double IPA than anything I would describe as a red ale, light caramel taste. Med full bodied with good carbonation. Good.

Une très bonne red avec un corps assez puissant et une fin de bouche maîtrisée. Bon équilibre.
