COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a classic West Coast-style imperial red ale brewed with medium crystal malts, centennial and cascade hops. The color is a burnt amber with red highlights and the aroma has a spicy hop presence with moderate caramel malt accents. The taste is a smooth, malty one with a balanced hoppy finish that includes hints of sweet caramel

Deep red, light, soapy head. Crystal malts galore! Chewy, wet, hoppy, caramel; this is a big beer. Interesting spice on the palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

"more lively than shark bote, the port double? red. fruity sweetness and ample bitterness from the hopping. a very nice ale that is somewhere between a red, strong ale, and dipa."

Pours a deep copper color with a deep red malt aroma. Taste is malty with a distinct bitter red aftertaste. The double red flavor is evident but not overpowering. Slightly skunky, but the aftertaste dissipates quickly.

Type: 22-oz. bottle Glass: Pint mug From: Costco in Mission Valley (San Diego), Calif. Price: $4.99 Purchased: Aug. 26, 2014 Consumed: Sept. 3, 2014 Misc.: Bottled April 24, 2014 Poured a mahogany opaque color with 6-to-7 fingers of khaki tan head. A foamy Port pour? You don’t say. Sporadic foamy lacing along the sides of the glass. Great retention. (Sight - 3.85) Smelled caramel malts, wet Cascade hops, rye, toffee, buttery malts, roasty malts, faint chocolate, citrus hops, pine, wet soapy malts and floral hops. (Smell - 3.68) Tasted a bit better than the nose. Earthy rye hops, roasty caramel, wet Cascade, light chocolate (still), soapy pine, honey, floral hops, citrus hops, sweetened iced tea and lime zest. (Taste - 4.00) Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 4.18) A nice tasty double amber. Would have it again for sure. (Overall - 3.98) 3.94 88 B+

Flaska. Aldeles för mycket kolsyra. Hur tänker bryggeriet? Det här är inte bra. Doften svag men trevlig. Smaken tunn med alkohol o alldeles för mycket kolsyra. Eftersmaken bra med fin beska.
