3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at CAH. Pours dark straw with off-white head. Nose is heavy pinepple, grapefuit, peppery and citric. Tastes pale malty, with a big hop,m tropical fruit, and peppery flavor. Medium palate, very refreshing, not as heavy and alcoholic as many of the Port IPAs/APAS, and this one is very quaffable and delicious.

2010-07-01. Crisp yellow body with a small white head. Nice aroma, hops, grassy, lemon, grapefruit seeds/pith. 7+ Flavour is similar, lemon-grapefruit hops, light grassy notes, pale malt core is an afterthought. Average to light palate could be more full bodied but adds to the refreshing character here, maybe? Very drinkable. On tap at Tap House Grill, listed as Port Special Pale Ale, Seattle

Sampled on tap at the brewery on 7/16/2010. This American Pale Ale pours a light gold color from the tap. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and hoppy. A medium to light bodied American Pale Ale. The malts are fruity and sweet. The hops are grapefruity and piney. Good carbonation. Light and refresing. Super dry finish. Nice grapefruity hops throughout. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is bitter.

Draft at Teresa’s. Pours a brilliant, slightly turbied golden yellow with a full, thick, foamy white head. Aroma of ripe orange, hop resin, light malt, fresh hay, and hints of pine. Medium bodied with a deliciously clean, refreshing, thirst quenching mouthfeel. Finishes with a subtle citrusy note, and a slight dryness from the hops. Overall, another stunningly well executed beer from Port Brewing/Lost Abbey. Tomme, please keep them coming sir. Cheers.
