Big pine hop aroma. Small white head. Golden coloured very hoppy and fruity with a pine flavour. A little dryness in a crisp and bitter malt finish. tangent (10), San Pedro, California, USA

It poured a golden yellow color a bit hazy with a nice white head.
The smell is definitely San Diego style IPA all the way with nice floral hop aromas.
Up front it has a strong grapefruit citrus hop flavor with some floral and pine hops flavors as well. A bit of malt with a nice dry crisp finish.
Not a bad IPA at all, I think a little more from the malt side wouldn’t hurt though. Overall a great IPA, but I’d swing for their Hop 15 before this any day. ilherps (226), Carbondale, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 15/20 | Nov 12, 2009 This beer is definitely geared toward the hops, it is light and fizzy, which exaggerates the bitterness and the finish. doubelknv3 (566), Illinois, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 3, 2009 22 oz bottle. A fresh aroma with a more subtle hoppiness than expected. Notes of leafy hops, spicy pine, mild citrus fruits, pale bread grains, and some other lighter fruits. The pour had a smaller creamy starch white head, a very opaque cloudiness, and bright tropical orange color. This beer has some good things going on in the taste and palate, but I sort of wish there was more. Things seem a bit too mild for a fuller feeling ipa. A bit more balanced toward the hop side of things, flavor notes include mostly herbal and pine bitterness, with some thick citrus, as well as a bit of light grain malt. Actually, I might like a bit more from the malty end of things things. Overall, this was a very nice drinking ipa, that I could easily session to all night.
