Thanks to realale420. Gold in color with HUGE head. Big pine and citrus nose. Flavor to match with a nice balance with the malt, yet the hops stand out. Great mouth feel with a medium body. Great hoppy clean finish.

Floral and piney nose that leads into a wonderful palate of building lingering hop oils. Peppery and herbal on the palate with little residual sugar. Very nice lingering hop finish.

Pours a cloudy orange with a well retained fluffy off white head. Pretty hoppy with a bunch of citrus mixed in. Makes a nice combo. Mostly orange. Taste is quite bitter up front, mellows out towards the finish. Very piney but traces of malts are definitely noticeable. A little caramel and some cinnamon come in the background. Really refreshing, and balanced quite well. Good IPA.

Amber/gold, large fluffy white head. Nose is a huge piney citrus hit. Caramel, slight salt. Flavor is hop, caramel, malt. Bitter rind finish that slowly becomes caramel.

A staple around san diego , not my favorite pport IPA, but definately still delicious. cloudy orange color, not all that crisp, a bit of a sweeter hop taste to me. solid overall.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2008 sampled on tap at the 5th Boulder Strong Ale Fest. i’m going to call Port out for putting this up at a fest of 8%+ beers because i always believed this was not that high in abv....pours cloudy orange with white head. very piney hop nose. flavor is extremely crisp, peppery, and piney hops. tasty. 7/4/7/4/15= 3.7

May 25, 2007, 22oz bottle. pours dense golden with fluffy white head. nose is sorta fruity hop aroma but not much. flavor is refreshing, fruity grapefruit hops with caramel malts, tasty. perhaps not that fresh of a bottle. smooth finish. 7/4/7/4/14=3.6.

Aroma of pine, grapefruit, and some tropical fruit punch. Beer pours cloudy orange with lots of yeast floating around. Flavor is hoppy and bitter. Very dry and resiny grapefruit and pine. It is almost chewy. It is a good, but not great IPA.

Bomber. Clear amber/orange with a huge head. Aroma was nearly all citrus and tropical fruit with just a little caramel. Taste of spicy and citrusy hops makes it a full-out hop display for the tongue. Very lovely and bitter bite. Astringent finish. Yum!

UPDATED: OCT 18, 2008 RERATE 2008, overlooking an Indiana cornfield... Still this is beauty of an IPA and sharp and crisp. Evertything you would ever want from the genre.

Bottle served in my Ratebeer tulip and enjoyed at my hotel overlooking a beautiful Pacific Ocean sunset with the waves gently crashing upon the beach...ah what a memorable moment:

Slightly hazed golden hue with a large fluffy head and very good lace. The nose detects resiny and piney hops, grapefruit and apple jack, biscuity malt and a hint of white pepper. The taste is a bold hoppy attack with leading citric characteristics. Biting acidic follow through with a dry spicy finish. A bit metallic and astringent on the aftertaste. Crisp and refreshing while dancing across my palate.

I like the bold expression yet it is not over the top. A lovely bigger IPA (near IIPAish). To celebrate the memory, I type this while wearing my PP Wipeout T-Shirt.

22 oz bottle. Lightly hazed peachy orange with a whipped white head. Pink grapefruit, watermelon and a twist of lemon. Peppery caramel deeper down. Yowza! This really packs a hop bite. Like chewing on lemon and lime sections soaked in pine oil and grain alcohol. Buzzy carb, medium light. Resiny finish that’s juicy (or is that just my mouth watering?) with a slow developing dryness. Caramel and toffee come out after the hop hammering. Wild stuff but oddly alluring.
