22oz bottle, courtesy of Naven. Thanks, Dave! Pours a hazy, yellowish-orange color; off-white head with large bubbles and decent lacing. Dank, hoppy aroma: plenty of citrus and grapefruit. Full, chewy mouthfeel: dank grapefruit and orange; prominent candy sugar maltiness, which slightly overwhelms the hops; finishes on the sweet side, with plenty of grapefruit.

Tall and frothy off-white head slowly bubbles itís way down over a slightly hazy, golden-orange hued body. Inviting in the íhey, this thing might have some maltí sort of way. The aroma is powerfully expressive in the hop department, rivaling monsters (and personal favorites) such as Ruination and Hercules DIPA. And yet, this aroma is sharper, more focused, clearer to me than those other two. Sure, thereís tons of hop diversity—pine, grapefruit, nectarines, peaches—but all of the elements gleam individually, which is very interesting. I only wish there was a touch less pine, but thatís just silly me. Very light caramel, table sugar and toasted sweet white bread underpin the hops without interfering. I can also detect just the faintest whiff of some catty Sauvignon Blanc. A little perfume enters the mix as it warms. Very, very bright. The flavor begins surprisingly sweet, like diluted treacle. Then a bright burst of citrus and pine flares across the tongue. Very clean, light acidity even through mid-palate. While the finish isnít the hoppiest Iíve ever experienced, itís almost bracing, very sharp and clean. Pine lingers forever. Enjoyably light bodied, with a slick texture and pinpoint carbonation. Everything comes together wonderfully in this beer, but I feel it should either be slightly more bitter or lower in alcohol. Still, the focus is hops and hops it does well. 22 oz bottle, snifter.

22 oz. bottle courtesy of awaisanen. This beer pours the color of medium/dark honey, very cloudy, with a luscious, fluffy, yellow/white head. Massive aroma of grapefruit and pine - outstanding. Based on the aroma, I was expecting a bitter monster. I was therefore quite surpirsied with my first sip to find a well-balanced IPA with only moderate bitterness. Initially, there is some malt and a touch of brown sugar, followed by the pine and grapefruit flavors. Nice creamy mouthfeel, this IPA is super easy to drink. If this stuff were available in my area, this could easily be my beer of choice.

Lively, hop heavy piney ,citrusy, aroma, it gets piner as it warms, you can detect molecules of caramel cake, but they are hard to pin down in this pine forest. taste is very strong citrus and pine ,with small pockets of caramel and brown sugar, all which gets washed into a finishing Centennial bitterness..The bitterness pretty much comes to dominate everything by the middle of the glass. Its almost a perfect IPA, hop dominant a distinct but in the background malt presence, and a tastey bitter finish, its full bodied but not chewy like an Imperial and the hop combination is to die for. Stunning

Nose is peachy mango. A sweeter flavored IPA. I also detect some tobacco notes. Not super bitter as some IPAís come across. Nonetheless, a good effort, by a highly regarded brewer.

[bottle] Cloudy amber color, pouring out a fluffy white head that leaves plenty of nice lacing. Beautiful fresh hop aroma- the Cascade hops really seem to shine through this skunk funk aroma. Flavors are primarily citrusy, floral hops mellowing into a kind of earthy caramel malt background. The finish displays some real complexity, with some increasing bitterness and slight alcohol warmth. Overall an outstanding, extremely well balanced IPA.

Cloudy gold appearance. Very nice herbal hop aroma. Flavor is bitter hops, which linger on the palate, and combine with citrus to make this a better than average ipa.

Pours a hazy burnt orange. Good citus hoppiness in the nose. Nice creamy mouthfeel with a biting piney hop flavor. The flavor is wonderfully balanced and the finish is killer with just enough toffee like malt sweetness to balance a brutal bitter finish.

A very good IPA on-tap at Port Carlsblad. Great balance and better than most double IPAs. Orangey colour with white head. Well malted for drinkability but what I get is smooth mouthful of contained but potent hop.

Cold 22oz bottle: Pours a clear golden orange color with a thin layer of light tan bubbles, mostly around the edges. Aroma is of pine and flowers. Taste is predominantly of floral hops with notes of malt, citrus and pine. Medium body with ample carbonation. A floral hops loverís dream.
