Bottled. Orange coloured. Unclear. DEnse beige head. PInes, fruits, fllowers and spiece in the aroma. Flavour is citric and herbal. Quite flowery and a bit soapy. Full bodied. Very dry. Has a mighty bitterness in the end. Very good and balanced brew.

22oz bottle. aroma is of hops and candy... the flavor is mostly the 5 hops included in this delightful bottle of beer... citrus and piney hop flavors melt perfectly with the sweet malt... top notch IPA from this above average brewery

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: JUN 9, 2008 22 oz bottle, Pasadena, CA. Initially really fizzy with bubbles on glass like a cider; this worried me. But it receded quickly leaving a finger or so of white head (with lacing). Hue is brownish orange, cloudy. Other than the initial fizziness it has a very enticing appearance. Aroma is straight-up mango. Flavor was great, picked up a little sweet fruitiness with a great lasting bitter aftertaste; this brew snagged the bitter receptors on the very back of your tongue, by the tonsils - supper good quality in my opinion. Overall, definitely buy it/try it if given the opportunity. (Obviously, at a 97 rating as I write, you would try it)

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Amber pours with a small fluffy white head. Aroma is big hops! My mouth is watering just smelling this! Lots of pine needles, grapefruit juice and sweet malts. My first sip of this is heavenly. Sweeter than expected, but still relatively bitter. Pine sap, grapefruit pulp, light caramel, maple, sweet malts and orange juice. Body is chewy and slightly sticky. Resinous notes abound in this medium-full palated beer. Light carbonation as well. Finishes with more pine notes, citrus juices and oils, and sweet maltiness. Bit of caramel as well. Very delicious!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz - thanks Foolish_Mortal - Aroma of strong herbal floral hops. Fresh sticky hops I expect from a San Diego IPA. Pours gold-brown with cascading bubbles a medium head and great lacing. Flavor has the hops from the aroma with a citrus tang. Nice malty back balances it out perfectly. Palate is tart and creamy, maybe a bit thin. Another bang-on winner of an IPA from Pizza Port.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle, part of a stellar package sent to badnewsbeers by cquiroga. Murky sediment-laden orange-brown body, thin-medium buff head. Aroma of tropical fruits and other citrus, emphasis on mangoes and grapefruit. Sugary malts pair nicely with the complex fruity nose. The flavor was a surprisingly quick hit of grapefruit rind, followed by an indistinct, long, thin bitterness. Leaves me a bit wanting in its palate. The aroma is the highlight here, but it’s still a nice beer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from JohnC, I believe. Pours a cloudy murky amber with the obviously identifiable aroma of grapefruity hops crawling out of the glass like some group of Trojans going over a fortified wall, oh thats right... they used a horse.
Well anyway this was a real treat for an IPA,I like the word massively used here by them as it is massaively hopped and pretty darn tasty to boot.
