Aroma of citrus and pine hop with a touch of malt. Hazy apricot amber color with a decent white head. Very tiny bubbles (live ale). Starts with hop, some malt, very nice. Hop lasts a long time.

Beer pours slightly cloudy copper color with an awesome beige colored totally retained head. Aroma is a full bore hop assault. Aroma of fresh green hops, lots of citrus, juicy notes. Flavor is wonderfully bitter finishing with a wonderful bitter fruitiness. Yummy!!!

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: MAR 8, 2008 Has a nice deep hop flavor. The bitterness is there, but the depth of the bitter makes this beer have a nice round flavor. A great IPA, but nothing to extraordinary.
UPDATE: Had this on cask. VERY good. The texture from the cask really compliments the beer well and took the beer to an even better level.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Courtesy of Dave from Sew Sporty in CA. Aroma is moderatley fruity, grapefruit, and light caramel. Pours a hazy reddish-orange with a minimal off-white head. Sporadic lacing. Flavor starts with a light caramel maltiness that builds into the finish. Moderately fruity backbone. Finishes with a pretty big grapefruit hoppiness. A well balanced IPA, but I’ve had better from them.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
22oz bottle from Port Brewing
Pours with a brilliantly clear, richly, reddish copper color. It is topped by a frothy, initially two-finger thick, tan colored head. A fresh hoppy aroma is here; notes of candied orange peel, ruby-red grapefruit, lychee and notes of apricot and peach are all noticeable here. Interestingly enough, even when intensely examined, the citrus aromatics linger on and refuses to let me get at any underlying malt character.
The taste is only lightly sweet up front. Punchy hop notes jump out immediately at me. A more intense sweetness becomes noticeable, magnifying the citrus hop components that make up the flavor profile of this beer. Loud notes of sweet tangerines, oranges, grapefruit and smoother fruit note of apricot, lychee and even some tropical fruit notes are noticeable. This beer is definitely intensely hopped; bitingly raw and hoppy notes of pine, menthol and a lingeringly herbal character that leans towards mint at times. A huge, lingering, astringently bitter note dominates the finish and continues on in my taste buds long after the beer has left my mouth.
The striking thing about this beer is that it is perfectly hopped for its gravity. By which I mean this beer clearly has lots of hops, yet it never gets to be too much. It has a perfect balance such that the hops are not more than the malt can handle. There is not a whole lot of malt character noticeable here; it is just enough malt to allow the ample hops to shine and dominate.

22 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquor - Pours an amber color with a nice size off white head. Light lacing. Has a wonderful sweet citrus hop aroma. Has a citrus and slight pineapple flavor. Not much malt flavoring. Just some residual sweetness. Smooth with no sharp bitter aftertaste. Medium body. An excellent IPA and for the price, $3.65, a good deal.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
From a 22 oz. bomber with a list of hops along the left side of label, no freshness date.
Poured a cloudy orangey amber with a small foamy off-white head that settled into a thin bubbly lacing.
Aromas of grapefruit and pine, citric rind, floral, oily and a subtle sweet caramel.
Steady, even moderate carbonation and a crisp, hop slick, creamy smooth light-medium bodied mouthfeel.
Hop tasting, grapefruit, lemon tea, a touch of citric rind, earthy, a sweet maltiness rides underneath the hops, caramel, toffee with a touch of English butteriness, the alcohol mingles with the hops and has a soft warming presence in the palate, and a dryish earthy, grainy finish.
A nice, pleasant IPA, easy drinkability, and quite affordable at $3.99.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Pours tawny in color w/ a full semi creamy froth reducing to pancake spatter. Aromas of fresh dusty lime rind w/ slight biscuiting. Medium nectar w/ ample residual effers. Flavors of fresh bright lime rind backed up by a perfect malty backbone with perfect carameling. Finish is bittered w/ asprin. Its a refined specimen that is delicate yet robust. Not unlike a professional female body builder who still wants to be treated like a lady. Let this one warm up a bit, you’ll get more out of it. Highly recommended.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
22 oz. Bottle purchased @ Papago. On the nose is a tin shed metalic aroma. As you get further into the beer pine aroma is present. Golden/orange body with off white head and good amoutn of lacing. Had more of a malt flavor than what most IPA have. Medium citrus flavor balanced out the malt and mild bitterness. Smooth on the palate but not cool and crisp like most IPA’s.
