Avengedpoet (325), Mesa, Arizona, USA Apr 29, 2009 Share courtesy of rustychiles. Pours a nice light copper with a decent sized frothy white head. Aroma is of a cornucopia of fresh hops. The taste was predominantly hops, but with just enough malt profile/backbone to make sure that they weren’t too aggressive and made it somewhat balanced (you know...from an IPA perspective). Great IPA. cyanescens (156), Seattle, Washington, USA Apr 28, 2009 This beer was big, and mean. Very aggressive which is what I like. Maltiness devours hoppiness but still has enough balance to achieve desire. daleharshman (181), San Diego, California, USA Apr 27, 2009 Bomber from BevMo. Pours a hazy yellowish orange with one finger of white head. Fruity aroma with sweet lychee and grape. More sweet lychee/rambutan at first, turning quickly bitter with flavors of grapefruit. Very long bitter finish. Nice balance and I like the tropical fruitiness. fobdragon (4), Stanton, California, USA does not count Apr 27, 2009 thick carbonation, thick feel, full body, bitter, so bitter i really hate the burps after..., very flowery and a beautiful orange/amber color, and again, VERY bitter..., great clean finish, slight bitter after taste, 7% abl, overall good beer... not burps though... ewww RSRIZZO (1345), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Apr 27, 2009 Color is golden amber with good carbonation and a small head. Aroma is a mellow hop scent. Taste of grass and hops. Starting with a medium body it goes down crisp and bitter. Finish is a raw gassy hop flavor with a full bitterness, just a hint if citrus (lemon) and very faint malt taste. After taste is a touch dry with more bitterness. I like it, its not the most well balanced IPA out there but its darn good. joeneugs (289), Livermore, California, USA Apr 26, 2009 Pours golden orange with an off white, frothy head. Aroma is immediately of lemon, orange, and grapefruit, then more sweet fruit like peaches and pineapple. The taste is powerful, yet subtle, not overly pungent with the hop. Very fruity and fresh. Nice balance with the sweet and bitter fruit. Medium bodied and quite delicate. jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA Apr 24, 2009 Purchased a bottle at Latimer Deli, Philadelphia. Happy to finally try something from Port Brewing! Pours thick and orange with a small and dissipating white frothy head. Body has tightly packed bubbles and lots of little sediment particles, looks great! Aroma Aroma is hoppy, but not quite overpowering (though as I try this beer and write this review I am outside and it is a little windy). Wow, taste is super smooth, not bite at all, you can taste the hops, but wow, incredible. I love this beer. BleacherBum (176), Blowing Rock, North Carolina, USA Apr 23, 2009 The creamy texture of this beer is the best part. Bomber from Charles St. in Boston. Aroma and flavor are surprisingly more subdued than I thought they would be. Expected a more agressive bitterness, piny characteristic and floral/citrus aspects. Instead, I got a very balanced beer. Malt is very pronounced, with a slightly sweet honeydew character. The hops are definitely there with light pineapple, apricot and tangerine notes, but a very soft bitterness. Excellent, but not what I was looking for. Would drink it any time, anywhere.
