| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 7, 2009 I bought this bottle based upon the suggestion that if I like grapefruit-y IPAs, I will love this one.
It poured golden orange, and smelled of hops and pure Port Awesomeness.
I didnt see where people were getting the essence of grapefruit from, but it was still a good IPA. Nice and hoppy, but doesnt smash your pallet like a hobo in need of building supplies.
Not too thick that it’s sticky, not too thin that the flavor runs. petematte46 (218), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 3, 2009 Bottle. Clear with a medium head.Hoppy as you would expect and quite complex.
Bitter but with uncompromising hoppiness. Excellent and on reflection perhaps worth more than 3.8. thebeertourist (2777), Oslo, Norway
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 2, 2009 Bottle from Beermerchants. Hazy golden with a rich off-white head. Nice and complex citrus hop aroma: grapefruit with some balancing sweet honey and bread. Complex hoppy flavours blending with bready maltiness, ending dry. Yeasty. The solid bready base for the hop attack makes this beer great. nhorween (639), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 1, 2009 Bomber. Hazy light orange with a dense and rocky white head. Hoppy and definitely west coast in style. Resiny, floral sweetness, very lightly spicy, honeyed malt. Similar flavor, excellent hoppy finish. Sweetness to balance the hops, very smooth, super drinkable. On sale today for 4.99, awesome. ekstedt (2419), Göteborg, Sweden
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 29, 2009 Bottle (65 cl) from Ölbutikken. Hazy deep golden, large rocky white head. Hoppy aroma with notes of citrus, pine, some dark berries as well. Very clean malt profile. Medium bodied, low to medium carbonation. Dry with a long earthy bitterness. Very pleasant IPA. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 29, 2009 Share courtesy of rustychiles. Pours a nice light copper with a decent sized frothy white head. Aroma is of a cornucopia of fresh hops. The taste was predominantly hops, but with just enough malt profile/backbone to make sure that they weren’t too aggressive and made it somewhat balanced (you know...from an IPA perspective). Great IPA. cyanescens (156), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Apr 28, 2009 This beer was big, and mean. Very aggressive which is what I like. Maltiness devours hoppiness but still has enough balance to achieve desire.
