Pours copper into the glass with a nice white head. Aroma is citrus and somewhat musty hops. Caramel fragrance present upon warming. Hop bitterness is on the front end, giving way to a clean malty finish. Nice lacing throughout with the 78 IBUs feeling very soft across the palate. Really well made beer, glad I was able to bring a bottle back home with me to Houston.

pours hazy copper with medium head that fades quickly. aroma is very floral hops, nice sweet malt, some citrus. drinks with a nice bitter bite upfront with lots of floral hops coming through, and no real citrus. bitter is cut by a real nice sweet malt back bone and finishing bittersweet.

[1932-20081231] 1pt6floz bottle. Sweet sweaty pine resin hops aroma with simple evergreen and lots of citrus undertones. Hazy, medium orange body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Strong pine sap and citrus pips and bitter hops flavour. Medium-full body is quite bitter. Simple, strong and bitter, very drinkable, booze is noticeable but here it works in it’s favour.

Bottle at City Beer, San Francisco, 28th March 09. Hazy amber. Lovely strong hoppiness that is not too harsh. A very effective IPA.

Pour is a cloudy with a big white head. Aroma is mostly pine hops and not much else. Flavor has your pine/grapefruit thing with a bit of dirty malts. A very serviceable IPA.

22 oz bottle from City Beer in San Fran. Dark orange pour with a murky off white head. Aroma is straight hop, big whiff of pine followed by a refreshing grapefruit/orange citrus smell. Flavor is much the same, not a huge malt presence, but the mix of the hops is very pleasing to the tongue. Man, do I love west coast IPAs!

On tap at Papago. Pours copper with a trim beige head. Smells and tastes of waxy grapefruit with a note of apricot. Finishes with the flavor of flour. Very basic and almost too bitter for its own good.

bottle 22oz: Smell was hoppy and piney, just not as strong as some other IPA’s I’ve tried. Flavor was sweet malty with bitter slight grapefruit end. End was rather smooth. Very enjoyable not the very best, but really pretty darn good!
