502Flavors (617), Louisville, Kentucky, USA Jan 25, 2009 Updated: Jul 5, 2009Bomber. Hazy copper color (I wont punish the brew, I’ll blame the crazy haze on the asshole at Whole Foods who layed all my fucking bottles down horizontally in my bag). Nice aroma of floral and citrus hops and a bit of pale malt. Flavor is pretty much the same just a bit better, very balanced -- spicy and bitter but very drinkable and refreshing. Smooth and creamy on the palate with just the right amount of carbonation -- medium bodied. Overall: very solid stuff up there with the other great Cali IPAs. mjs (1446), Helsinki, Finland Jan 25, 2009 (Bottle at Pikkulintu, Helsinki, on 2009-01-22) Amber and clear. Small white head. Hops and malts in nose. Full bodied and dry palate with lot of carbonation. Malts, hops, bitterness and saltiness in taste. Bitter and malty aftertaste. Butters (1622), Virginia, USA Jan 24, 2009 Shared with barrios, mmmkay, at woody’s courtesy of jbo. Hazy orange pour with some particulate and good white head. Great sugar sweet hop aroma. flavors of Citrus, pine, bitter hop finish. Great IPA PhatB420 (126), Pittsfield, Massachusetts, USA Jan 24, 2009 Enjoyed a bomber just recently and this is quite an enjoyable IPA. the bitterness is just enough to serve its purpose but by far not too dominating. Its just right and the hops explosion is wonderful as well. MatSciGuy (629), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA Jan 23, 2009 [Bottle] shared by timbeer. Pours a cloudy caramelly gold with a soapy off white head. Aroma is nice with lots of citrus and tropical fruits - mango, orange, grapefruit, and some caramelly malt backbone. Flavor is a little less intense than I was expecting, especially after drinking the High Tide just before this. Very well balanced, a nice bitterness, and a lot of malt on the backbone. Well balanced bitterness on the finish. sayravai (3720), Helsinki, Finland Jan 22, 2009 (Bottled) Hazy copper with a smallish, frothy and lacy head. Pleasantly aromatic-hoppy, pine-exotic-fruity, sweetish ice-cream nose. Lots and lots of exotic fruit, with piney hints and a solid, malty base. Long, mouthdrying and bitter finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. An extremely nice and balanced (almost double-) IPA. 689926001034 CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Jan 20, 2009 Crushed with Honkeybra. Some definite hops and a huge malt backbone. A little too sweet, but still definitely superior. ryanknock (150), San Francisco, California, USA Jan 19, 2009 Grass, pine and citrus come into balance in this lighter bodied IPA. Toast and biscuit notes come through, but the fresh, resiny hop notes domninate. The finish is pretty bitter, but not distracting.
