(11/3/08) Draught sample at Pizza Port in Carlsbad. 7.3%. Clear deep golden color. Aroma of strong resinous hops and some pine needles. Bitter hoppy flavor with pine, resin, light citric hints and some malt. Medium-bodied.

Bottle thanks to Jimmy S. Pale gold and filtered. Fluffy white head. Nose is floral, fruity with a mild hop presence. Hop flavors start slowly then the bitterness and hops explode during the finish. Alcohol is evident but nicely warming and does not overwhelm the beer. Fluffy, foamy mouth. Overall very drinkable and a nice balanced IPA.

Bomber from College Liquors in Grand Junction, CO. Pours a clear golden hue with a very thick white head, it leaves a whip cream-like fluffy head throughout. The aroma is nice; sweet citrus hops, some light pine. The flavor is very nice; sweet citrus hops, tons of rich and juicy flavors, some light bitterness, but sweet. Very quaffable and tasty. I could drink at least 40 oz. of this easy.

Slightly cloudy golden beer with a lasting off-white head, leaving some lace. Grapefruit and floral aroma. Dry and quite bitter, but with a decent malt flavour. Lasting citrus hoppy aftertaste.

Bottle with Butters. Pours an off-white head and a pale amber color. Contains particulates. Smells of pine and citrus. Tastes strongly of pine. Also tastes of grapefruit, apricot, and turbinado sugar. Finish is apricot and a lasting bitterness.

Orange look with a decent foemy white head. The aroma holds lots of flowery and piney hops along with grape and some malty caramel. IPA sensation all the way through, great bitter hop dominance on a sweet and full malty background. Lingering bitterness and bordering the double ipa.

Draught. Bit hazy deep orange colour with a very nice big steady white creamy head. Lovely aroma of fruity hops with pine. Very good mouthfeel. The flavour is fresh with piney hops, fruity and flowery. Long lasting dry hoppy fruity finish.

2008-12-31. Hazy orange body with a good sized off-white head. Aroma is less intense than expected. Modest hops, light resin with muted notes of pine needles. Muddled side notes are not always supportive of the cause. Flavour is hoppy, modest bitterness throughout, touch of pithy grapefruit in the finish fades slowly but pleasantly as the glass goes on. (7+) Average plus plate is fairly effervescent. (3+) Pretty decent but feels like it may have lost a step in the long trek from California to Ontario via Alaska. Bottle from Brown Jug, Anchorage
