Enjoyed a bomber just recently and this is quite an enjoyable IPA. the bitterness is just enough to serve its purpose but by far not too dominating. Its just right and the hops explosion is wonderful as well.

[Bottle] shared by timbeer. Pours a cloudy caramelly gold with a soapy off white head. Aroma is nice with lots of citrus and tropical fruits - mango, orange, grapefruit, and some caramelly malt backbone. Flavor is a little less intense than I was expecting, especially after drinking the High Tide just before this. Very well balanced, a nice bitterness, and a lot of malt on the backbone. Well balanced bitterness on the finish.

(Bottled) Hazy copper with a smallish, frothy and lacy head. Pleasantly aromatic-hoppy, pine-exotic-fruity, sweetish ice-cream nose. Lots and lots of exotic fruit, with piney hints and a solid, malty base. Long, mouthdrying and bitter finish. Medium body with soft carbonation. An extremely nice and balanced (almost double-) IPA. 689926001034

Crushed with Honkeybra. Some definite hops and a huge malt backbone. A little too sweet, but still definitely superior.

Grass, pine and citrus come into balance in this lighter bodied IPA. Toast and biscuit notes come through, but the fresh, resiny hop notes domninate. The finish is pretty bitter, but not distracting.

(11/3/08) Draught sample at Pizza Port in Carlsbad. 7.3%. Clear deep golden color. Aroma of strong resinous hops and some pine needles. Bitter hoppy flavor with pine, resin, light citric hints and some malt. Medium-bodied.

Bottle thanks to Jimmy S. Pale gold and filtered. Fluffy white head. Nose is floral, fruity with a mild hop presence. Hop flavors start slowly then the bitterness and hops explode during the finish. Alcohol is evident but nicely warming and does not overwhelm the beer. Fluffy, foamy mouth. Overall very drinkable and a nice balanced IPA.
