As IPA’s go this is a middle of road variety. I was hoping for a bigger hop nose when opeining the bottle. It does have a nice malt backbone and the C hops are present balancing the beer towards the hops. The beer is good and well done, but lacking....

22 ounce bottle from Total Beverage in Westminster, CO. Pours light orange with some sunshine yellow hues. There’s a big sticky eggshell white head on top with plenty of lace. Its fairly simple to pick out a couple of the hop varieties listed. I certaily notice the onion character of the Summit, along with the pine and grapefruit form the Cs. The hop flavor is big, but not overbearing. Again, onion, citrus and pine shine here. Nice bitterness with enough malt to keep this from being a total palate wrecker. Medium full body with average carbonations. Farily oily. Balanced finish. Really a pretty damn good beer.

Pours a fairly clear, roangey-amber colro with a white, average, creamy, pillowy, head which is somewhat lasting and leaves a small amount of lace. Nose is nice with lots of pine, somewhat resinous, a citrus note of grapefruit and orange zest, and some light grassy notes; a faint malt backbone is hidden with notes of nutty caramel and hints at bread. Taste is balanced for an IPA with a moderately high bitterness and hop notes of pink grapefruit, bitter orange peel, dried apricots, some pine, and maybe hints at floral; malt notes include sweet caramel and sweet grained biscuits. Palate is faintly drying from the bitternes with a moderately full body, almost lively carbonation, and a substantial lingering feeling on the tongue. Finishes mostly bitter but with lingering caramel sweetness; other notes of bitter orange peel and resinous pine. Truly a West Coast IPA with great citrus notes but what a nice malt backbone to boot. Not as complex as say a Stone but the flavors were great together. Port does some great work.

Nice hazy orange pour with a thick, white head. Aroma has some crazy hops: grapefruit, pine, grass. Flavor is an amazing explosion of awesome hops into a blended, incredible balance. Mouthfeel is awesome. This is one of the best IPAs i’ve ever had. This beer is awesome.

Bomber bottle. Orangy/gold hue with a small, white head and modest lace. Hints of pine, earthiness, & floral notes, combined with ruby grapefruit & other citrus hints. All meld to flavor with an abundant hop dryness. Why not, with such a combo of hop varieties? That might also have been the reason for some unpleasant (to me) bitterness & astringency to the back of the tongue at finish. More partial to the High Tide!

hazy amber color, modest head, white lacy bubbles. wonderful pine hops nose, with fruity hints. creamy, citrusy flavor with pine notes. medium bodied with a long lasting bitter finish. a fine ipa with easy drinkability and a bitter finish that just won’t quit. at 7% abv i detected none of it. single bottle purchase @ "binny’s beverage depot" orland park.

Bottle from Binny’s Lakeview. This is an IPA. No more, no less. Very smooth bitterness, very much capturing all of the aforementioned hops in a successful combination. Taste is grassy, slightly sweet, very fruity with citrus and peach. Nose is just a hop head’s delight. Very good IPA.

Tasting @ Binny’s. Pours a hazy copper color with a white head. Aroma is malty, grapefruit, caramel malts and lots of hops. Taste is sweet, grapefruit, citrus, pine hops, cream, (similar to most west cost IPAs I’ve had). Nice thick medium body finish. Good stuff. At 5.99 nice price too.
