| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 6, 2008 The color is very cloudy with thin head and some spotted laceing along the sides of the glass. The nose is very bittersweet and full of hops and malt. Initially the flavor is bitter and sweet with hops and caramelized malt coating your palate. Overall it is a great IPA and the booze is well hidden. Drink4Satan (585), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 6, 2008 Pours a beautiful cloudy orange colour with a medium sized off-white head that fades to a sudsy cap. The nose is muted, very much so, with tangerine like hop citrus and mild pine resin just barley coming through. The flavour is wallop of hop flavour and subdued cohumolon bite. There are ripe grapefruit and zesty orange-like hops with little caramel backbone to speak of. The Amarillo are ever-present, as well as the summits, though the Simcoe hops are lacking in this one. The mouthfeel has average viscosity and a drying finish. Its nice, but lacking intensity, Simcoe and maltiness. WickerBrew (312), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 2, 2008 Was happy to see this available, not a bad price but in these times... Anyways its a bit lighter in color, maybe a touch cloudy. Good sticky hop flavor that doesnt go too far overboard. Very grapefruity, no roasted flavor to speak of. That would make it very good. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 30, 2008 Orange pour with a big head. Very nice lacing. Aroma is avg. hop/citrus with a bit of pine. Flavor very akin to the aroma with some semi sticky sweetness. $5.99 a bomber. It’s beers like this I’d rather see at $10 a six. msante79 (814), Orland Hills, Illinois, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 28, 2008 Bomber. Pours orange with thick white head. Aroma is hops, citurs, pine, and caramel malt. Flavor is well balance between caramel malt and PNW hops. Lots of citurs and a little pine. Mouthfeel is a tad sticky but beer so well balanced. I truely beleive Port could survive brewing just IPA and IIPA’s. dirtcampbrew (4), , Colorado, USA does not count | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Nov 28, 2008 As IPA’s go this is a middle of road variety. I was hoping for a bigger hop nose when opeining the bottle. It does have a nice malt backbone and the C hops are present balancing the beer towards the hops. The beer is good and well done, but lacking....
