Aroma is some grainy caramel malt (amber ale like) and citrus / earthy hops. The flavor is the same, but everything just seems so-so, the hops are a little stale and grassy (maybe this is an old bottle). I remember having this beer about 2 years ago and really liking it, so either it has changed or I have. baggio (195), norrtälje, Sweden

Appearance: Golden orange with a small white head.
Aroma: Flowers, Citric notes, Pine.
Flavor: Caramel, Grapefruit, Orangepeel, Fruits.
Palate: An easy drink with a nice, dry, bitterness at the end. Medium carbonation.
A very pleasant AIPA that i’ll want to try again. Feels a little off-balance tho as it seems to focus a wee bit too much on the bitterness. ante (2928), Stockholm, Sweden
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 28, 2008 Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Pours out in a hazy amberish orange colour with a low sticky white foam. Rich hoppy aroma of pine-needles, lychee, flowers and blood grape. Medium to full-bodied with notes of grapefruit, pine-cones, grass, flowers and orange-peels. Not much malt in here, it’s mainly focuses on the hops. Long bitter finish of grapefruit peels, grass and pine-needles. Monotonic, yet tasty. doboy (177), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 26, 2008 Thanks CelticBrew for sharing with DrBayern and myself. Beautiful Light copper color and lacy head that unfortunately discipated. The hop aroma led me to believe that I was in for a mouthful of hops!
The nice mouthfeel led me to a really nice hop flavor that wasn’t over the top, but well balanced. A nice bittered finish. I could get used to having this as a session beer. DrBayern (1135), Morehead City, North Carolina, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 25, 2008 22 oz. bottle brought over by CelticBrew and shared with him and Doboy on May 23, 2008. Clear orange pour with a medium head and some very respectable lace. Excellent fresh hop aroma with the characteristic citrus, pine, and floral notes brought to the table by this combination of hops. Some light caramel adds to the mix.
Medium body and carbonation, mouthfeel is smooth yet moderately resinous, but certainly not objectionable at all. Very nice balance in flavors with the solid caramel malt countering the grapefruit bitterness to just the right degree. The bitterness is not overly aggressive, but assertive enough to be thirst quenching, leaving a dry palate. Very well done. phiconners (123), Massachusetts, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 23, 2008 Cloudy yellow orange with a white head. Flavor is a little more citrus than of the better IPAs. Nice, but not great.. Brewsmith (136), Torrance, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | May 21, 2008 From a 22oz. bottle purchased locally. Aroma is full of citrus hops, grapefruit. Deep gold, clear with a thin off-white head. Flavor is strongly bitter, piney and more grapefruit. Some malt comes through and a slight sweetness. Finish is fairly dry and bitterness lingers on the back of the tongue. Clean, easy drinking and full of hops. A great IPA. dchmela (1426), Orlando, Florida, USA
