The Dan Journal #164. Tasted 4/5/08. Hazy with a golden hue. Spiraling white head. Overt nose! Big grapefruit and citrus note. Hint of sugary circus peanuts. Nice palate with a ton of hops! Medium bodied with smooth base malts. Bitter crisp and tart hop palate. Rolling in the hop garden. Fun drinking!

22 oz bottle. The beer pours a golden yellow with a large white head. The beer tastes pretty light to be honest - something I didn’t actually expect. Aroma of citrus, pines, and hops.

22 oz bottle ordered from CA: Pours orange with a large thick head. Heavy aroma of hops and slight citrus. Great flavor of hops. Not too much. Very good.

22oz bottle. Poured a clear light orange color. Head was thick and off white with decent retention. Some lace was left behind at the end. Attractive aroma of crushed spruce needles, grapefruit, orange marmalade, and brown sugar. Initial delicate sweetness was quickly suppressed by assertive hop bitterness that peaked at about 7 out of 10. Light to medium bodied with caramel and citrusy/sprucy/sweaty hop flavors. Tasty.

Courtesy of foureyedgeek. Chunky bits float in an orange body with a thin beige head. Smells old and skunky, with cardboard, caramel, and slight hop notes. Tastes the same as the smell, and very flat and watery. Boring. Skip.

Big caramel wit ha touch of chocolate and toffee, slight bread. Nice bitter at the end, moderate to moderate +. Good balance overall. Love the bitter. Nice beer. Not overly hopbomb-ie.
