trapez (766), Hilleroed, Denmark Sep 12, 2009 Bottle. Nice aroma filled with hops, amarillo, cascade etc. Unclear amber colour with large white head. Hoppy bittersweet flavour with a rich aftertaste of liquorice and soil. jbye4334 (652), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Sep 12, 2009 (bottle). Cloudy copper color. Medium size frothy, off-white head. Strong hoppy citrus aroma. Spicy hop flavor. Avg duration. Smooth finish with light bitterness. Slick texture. Soft carbonation. Good lacing. machfive55 (218), Columbia, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 6, 2009 This one was in my fridge too long. Despite that, it held up well over time. There was a nice pine, citrus hop aroma and the beer was nicely balanced with good hop and malt flavors. I think some of the bitterness mellowed out over time but the beer held up well otherwise. This was a pretty good IPA. arrogantb (695), Denver, Colorado, USA Sep 1, 2009 Nice orange color with a sticky white head. Excellent aroma of fruity hops. This had a subtle but distinct piney taste with a welcome bitterness at the end. I really like West Coast IPA’s and this is one of the best I have had so far. I wish we could get Port Brewing/Lost Abbey beers here in Colorado...

Glass: Tulip
Aroma: Citrus and Pine, nice but not overwhelming.
Appearance: Beautiful golden color, almost glows.
Flavor: I get a lot of pine in the flavor, and really like it. It has a really nice bitterness to it, what I’m looking for when I get an IPA, and the slightest bit of sweetness at the end.
Palate: Lively carbonation pairs very nicely with biting acidity.
Overall: Solid IPA. I dig it. Quevillon (1518), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada Aug 25, 2009 Bouteille de 650 ml, acheté au Charles Street Liquors à Boston, le 9 juillet 2009. Ambrée caramel brumeuse, moyen collet beige pale. Arome d’houblon mi-sucré bien parfumé, avec des notes de pêches. Goût d’houblon un peu sucré de fruits du vergés, bon amèrturme sec avec des notes d’orge sucré. Une bonne exemple de son style! AskForJenny (627), Ontario, New York, USA Aug 24, 2009 22oz - Nice representative example of the style, but not worth seeking out. This bottle traveled a lot, and it may have lost something on the way. This may be better when fresher.
