Bottle. Pours light amber with a nice white head which leaves brussels lace clinging to the glass. The aroma first out of the fridge is very hoppy and floral. As it warms the smell of brown sugar becomes more apparent. The taste is sweet as it first hits the tongue and quite hoppy as it flows back on the tastebuds. Strong on the palate with a lasting malt flavor.

9/17/2007: Port Brewing High Tide Fresh Hop I.P.A. has a transparent, vibrant copper orange color with a long-lasting, billowing beige head and some foamy, fluffy lacing. There is a nice flurry of carbonation as well. The aroma is sweet citrusy and pine hops with some underlying toffee maltiness. It smells pretty bitter! A smooth malty sweetness is perfectly balanced by a moderate bitterness. The hop flavors include deep citrus (orange and grapefruit) and pine. This beer is strong and has a medium-full to full body. It is smooth and silky on the palate. This is pretty incredible IPA and that is simply wonderful to drink.

1 pint 6 fl. oz. bottle (7.0% Alc. by Vol.) from realale420. Thanks Brian! Rating #291 for this beer...

22oz bottel as well as on tap at Pizza Port in Carlsbad. Excellent IPA, hazy color probably due to all the yeasties. Bitter, excellent aroma.

22 oz. Botttle. This beer pours a slightly murky orange with a striking white thick head and sticky lacing. The aroma is filled with pine, citrus, earth, and a sweet and fruity malt notes. The flavor is has a huge hop flavor and bite. Then the malt comes to the rescue with some balance making this beer very drinkable. A well made beer is what it is.

Bottle courtesy of bonus from King G. Great beer. Another IPA that felt more like a IIPA. Great balance of malt and hops. Love the west coast hops!

22 oz bottle from after4ever. Pour is a cloudy yellow, visible carbonation and big, fluffy, white head. Aroma is citrus hop, floral and a presence of biscuity malt. Aroma is mostly the hop, though. Taste is grapefruit tart citrus hop to start, nice balanced malt middle and a fairly long, resiny finish. Nice hop bitterness throughout. Palate is a touch watery, though this did add to its drinkability. Nice everyday IPA, for those with access to this everyday. Thanks for this one, Tom!
