maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA Aug 23, 2007 Clear copper body with a medium creamy white head. Sweet caramel and piney hop aroma. Dry malty flavor with some pine and citrus hops. davidflores99 (225), Long Beach, California, USA Aug 22, 2007 This IPA poured orange with a small white head. Aroma was citrusy and hoppy, pretty fresh smelling. Flavor was nice and bitter, a touch of sweetness as well. Not a bad IPA crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA Aug 22, 2007 Thanks MikeTD. Dark orange pour with a small white head. Aroma is subdued and not very big with citrus and grapefruit. Flavor has a lot of resiny bitterness, caramel and pretyy malty. Not as much hop aroma or flavor as I expect from this company it was just all bitterness really taking away the flavors. can8ianben (903), Pasadena, California, USA Aug 21, 2007 Delicously hoppy, not over the top like some big IPAs, but still very delicous. Light orange in color with loads of citrus and pine flavours and aromas. Foamy white head, generous amounts of carbonation, but not too much. You can taste the bitterness and hops for quite some time, it lingers. Cletus (5002), Connecticut, USA Aug 19, 2007 Pours gold/orange with a crisp white head. Smells of dry malt, pine, some caramel, hints of citrus (F’n’A I need to come up with better decsriptors). Tastes of citrus, pepper, caramel, sugary and touches of tea. Mouthfeel is tingly and bitter. Finish is resiny. Ughsmash (3983), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Aug 15, 2007 Bottle thanks to Jon! Poured a clear brighter golden with a short, but well-retained cap of white head. The aroma was sublime.. soft bread and caramel notes with a large, but well-restrained pine, grapefruit, and.. well.. a touch of cat piss, but that’s OK in here.. the other hop presence balanced it out well. Flavor was all about the toasty caramel, grapefruit meat, and some toffee sweetness with pine and grapefruit, and floral hoppage rising above. Creamy-sweet middle on the palate felt quite good.. heavy hop presence kept it in check with some sharpness around the edges.. bit resiny at the finish. Felt good, smelled good, and tasted good.. with they hadn’t used the Amarillo, but still good! Enjoyed it! boto (1319), Granby, Connecticut, USA Aug 10, 2007 22oz. bomber: Mine poured an orangish-golden color. There was a HUGE off-white head on it, which lingers. Surprisingly little lacing to go along with the head. The aroma is huge with hops also. I get citrus, floral and piney hops all in there together. The taste is definitely hoppy. The malts are effectively masked. Kind of a pine taste with some of the citrus also. Tasty, but a little harsh. ukoolaid (572), Amherst, Massachusetts, USA Aug 8, 2007 Bottle. Pours a orangy golden color with foamy white head. Aroma is citrus hops and sweet malts. Flavor is piney/floral hops with a decent malt balance. Good stuff.
