Port Brewing Wipeout IPA

Bottle poured into a pint glass. Copper/orange with big beige head. Aroma hugely hoppy, with citrus, grass, and pine. But also very caramel aroma. Taste is grapefruit and sweet caramel. Medium mouthfeel. A very nice IPA!!

Bottle at OT. Light pale color with a lasting foam. Fresh grapefruit aroma with other exotic fruits and small sulfur aroma. Big grapefruit taste and a nice lasting bitterness. Much yeast sediment.

Very huge, dense, creamy head over copper-orange beer, clear but UFO-laden; end of bottle solid yeast. C-hops on cakebottom; citrus notes with bitter orange peel. Bitter, dry, mainly resiny hopflavours, still fruity, the orange peel now as from the pressed oils within, suggesting tarry, viscous liquids. Hopoils dominating to the exclusion of other things. Medium bodied at least, oily and dry. Very classical W.C.- IPA, but this is not really Tomme’s top strength.

Bottle from Cracked Kettle. Pours hazy orange. Aroma of passion fruit and yeast. Yeast and orange peel tasting. Dull! (possibly not fresh enough?)

22oz bottle shared by Woody Chandler, thanks Woody. Poured a hazy amber with a big sticky head. Nose of pine, citrus, and caramel. The flavor was very floral with some pine and hop spiciness. Very interesting that the smell and flavor were so different. Medium bitterness with a crisp, dry finish. Yum yum.

Bottled (from CK). Pours hazily golden orange with a large, fluffy, white and lacy head. Aroma of citrus and exotic fruity hops ( pineapple, mango) as well as some aromatic nuts, caramel malts and a note of perfume. Sweet caramel and mango sweet flavor is balanced with constant bitterness taming the excessive sweetness. There’s also notes of citrus, spices and herbs in the flavor. Through the end the bitter hops show what they are made of. Lightly carbonated palate is just on the limits of being too sweetly thick, probably it’s on the better side of that faint line. Solid IPA, me likes.

Pours a hazy gold/orange with decent head. Great aroma. Starts hoppy but fades (too soon) and finshes malty.

grapefruit and fruit punch candy like ipa that i enjoyed rather much. good enough broomstraw malt accompanyment. tart and juicy pine flavor it is strong but not intense. quite nice refreshing and fits well into the American style of hop brews.
