Bottle… Mostly clear orange ale with a mid-sized, fizzy, white head. Good retention. The aroma shows a generous helping of caramel malt beaten down by a potpourri of intensely bitter, West Coast hops. Grapefruit, pine and cat piss hops unite to form a tropical, mango-type nose. Bone-dry, attenuated flavor and mouthfeel with a moderate dose of alcohol and heavy bitterness. Medium to full-bodied with lively carbonation. Leaves my palate devoid of moisture. Cheers to growler for sharing!

Rerate, On tap at San Clemente on 12/3/06: Pours a transparent bright copper with a nicely-lacing white head. Aroma of fresh citrusy green hops and toasty caramel malt. Body starts with a good malty sweetness and fresh grapefruity hoppy balance toward a crisp finish. A pretty good IPA.

On tap at Carlsbad: Sweet floral hoppy aroma. Typical of the style and a good representative of it. Smooth and enjoyable, but nothing too special.

from crackedkettle.com - hazy amber-golden with a persistent slightly beige foam; pine needles and resiney with some fruits in the background; solidly hoppy, quite low carbonation, rounded palate and slightly oily; long and very bitter hoppy finish, flowery and piney - solid but never excessive

Bottle. Nice strong, hoppy IPA. Full aroma of earthy, citric, piney hops, and floral notes. Palate is bitter and hoppy, lots of hops, quite floral and grapefruity with notes of pine and lychee coming through aswell. Nice long finish, Fresh and floral.

Very huge, dense, creamy head over copper-orange beer, clear but UFO-laden; end of bottle solid yeast. C-hops on cakebottom; citrus notes with bitter orange peel. Bitter, dry, mainly resiny hopflavours, still fruity, the orange peel now as from the pressed oils within, suggesting tarry, viscous liquids. Hopoils dominating to the exclusion of other things. Medium bodied at least, oily and dry. Very classical W.C.- IPA, but this is not really Tomme’s top strength.

Cloudy orange colour with a dense beige head. Malty, light caramel sweet aroma with hoppy pineapple fruity notes. Hoppy, pine bitter flavor with fruity notes on a malty sweet background. Light dry bitter and sweet finish.

Bottled. Orange coloured. Unclear. DEnse beige head. PInes, fruits, fllowers and spiece in the aroma. Flavour is citric and herbal. Quite flowery and a bit soapy. Full bodied. Very dry. Has a mighty bitterness in the end. Very good and balanced brew.
