Hazy copper coloured body is topped by a low off white head that recedes to cover with scant sudsy lace. Citrus hops dominate the toasty and biscuity malts with aggressive and lasting bitterness. Dry medium body with low to fair carbonation. Bottle sampled with BeerPrince, CapFlu and Oakes. BBB63 (4283), La Porte, Indiana, USA

Bottle served in my Ratebeer tulip and enjoyed at my hotel overlooking a beautiful Pacific Ocean sunset with the waves gently crashing upon the beach...ah what a memorable moment:
Slightly hazed golden hue with a large fluffy head and very good lace. The nose detects resiny and piney hops, grapefruit and apple jack, biscuity malt and a hint of white pepper. The taste is a bold hoppy attack with leading citric characteristics. Biting acidic follow through with a dry spicy finish. A bit metallic and astringent on the aftertaste. Crisp and refreshing while dancing across my palate.
I like the bold expression yet it is not over the top. A lovely bigger IPA (near IIPAish). To celebrate the memory, I type this while wearing my PP Wipeout T-Shirt. cgarvieuk (4277), Edinburgh, Scotland

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 20, 2008 Bottle. High and long lasting creamy white head leaving nice curtains. Hazy thing looking orange body. Dried fruit aroma without the expected heavy hops note. Relatively mild actually. The hops is far more evident in the somewhat bitter and grapefruit nut flavor. The beer does, however, also have some unexpected creamy nots in combination with the long and dustry dry aftertaste. Low carbonation. Indeed good. Skyview (4128), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 20, 2008 Sampled at MN Ratebeer Winter Gathering in Maplewood, MN and supplied by joet. From a 22-oz bomber pours a hazy golden amber brew with a thick and lumpy off-white head that has some excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of sweet grapefruit zest and pink grapefruit juice that overpowers the light malt flavor. Taste is a typical west-coast IPA bitterness that is medium bodied, some carbonation and plenty of grapefruit and pine character. Finish is just as bitter as the aroma and flavor that even linger around after the finish.
