This is the best IPA I have ever tasted!!It has a very fruity, floral aroma.Color a nice amber.Head was average, but dissipated quickly.Very tasty, and not too overbearing like many IPA’s.I think it is very underrated.Had it on tap at the Carlsbad Pizza Port.Took home a jug too!!

Bomber at Jerrys. Orange gold with good, foamy white head / Nose of hops, citrus and cream / Medium body, creamy with discernable malts and potent, but not bitter, hops, and fine finish / Flavors of orange, cream, cut pine, and burnt sugar / Lush, and perfect.

A perfect IPA in my opinion 5+++ all the way. Exccellent use of differnet hops along with some new ones that add complexity, great use of the ABV and great use of malts. PERFECTION

Pours a hazy orange amber color with a two finger off white head that resists fading. A good amount of lacing present. The smell is floral pine and grapefruit over a sweet malty presence. Full bodied the mouth feel is adequately carbonated and conditioned by the high intensity hops. There is a balance sweet malty character as well. Full flavored, the sweet malt and piny taste combination yields to a grapefruit after taste that linger appropriately. I’m not sure what style this is more true to; an IPA or a Double IPA...no, i take that back. This rivals many high end double ipas.

Style & glass: IPA in a tulip 22 fl oz x 7% ABV = 154 / 60 = 2.5 beers * 150 C = 375 calories (est.) Available at: Craft Beer Outlet, Philadelphia, PA for $5.99 Citrus aroma fills the room, deep amber body under a bright white sticky head with good legs, lemon zest and surprisingly bitter flavors for an IPA, highly bitter, zesty with a very long finish, overall, a complete winner for hopheads.

22 oz bottle (thanks bmartinl!). Pours a hazy amber with a small head. Nose is citrus, floral, and fruity. Tastes like it smells with some pineapple and lots of resiny pine in the finish. Body is full, carbonation is average. Mmmm this is one tasty IPA, the best I have had in a long long time.

Huge thanks to Dickinsonbeer for this one. Pours hazy deep coppery with 2-finger off-white head and tons of lacing. Aroma is huge resiny hops, tropical fruit, grapefruit, tangerine, mango, big black pepper. The taste is very hoppy with a firm caramel malt base, and notes of grapefruit, mango, tangerine, honeydew, black pepper. Rich, complex, very well balanced mouthfeel that gets a tiny bit hot at the finish, and even more black peppery. This one is a benchmark IPA.

On cask at Papago: Pours to a mostly clear, though ever so slightly cloudy, bright orange-yellow colored body with a tiny (it’s on cask remember), bubbly white head that quickly fades. The aroma is just awesome - fresh, juicy, ripe hops - but the hops here are much more fruity than most west coast style IPA’s I’ve had (possibly due to it being on cask?). It’s just a complete noseful of juicy citrus & fruity hops, though it doesn’t assault your nose and almost burn like say Dreadnaught (not that I mind that either). The taste serves well on cask - the hops are highlighted throughout, and retain the fresh, ripe, juicy & bitter flavors you’d expect from the nose, along with the intense fruity hop notes too. This one’s totally focused on the hops, but it manages to achieve a very differnt hop flavor while retaining tons of bitterness. Maybe it’s just due to it being served on cask, but it really works. I can’t detect any alcohol, so purely guessing I’d put this one at about 6.5%, but it’s certainly possible that it’s higher and simply hiding any fusel alcohols. Normally the carbonation seems to help lighten the body, provide a crispness on the palate that helps to enhance and progress the hop flavors, but this one doesn’t need it. Light-medium bodied, very moderately carbonated, finishes with extended citrus and juicy fruit hop notes. In the condition that I had this one it ranks right up there with Russian River’s Pliney the Elder, though it is definitely its own animal.
