| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 29, 2006 Solana Beach - Orange, thin white creamy head. Nice nose of nutty earth, pine and hints of grapefruit rind. Well bittered flavors throughout with just a faint tone of toasted chocolate and alcohol heat. Medium bodied, medium carbonation, bitter finish. If this was ever available in bottles, could easily be a staple in the fridge. As with most of the PP brews, I dig it... The first was this beauty, on cask. The low carbonation makes way for great citrus and apple fruit character up front and a solid malt backbone to finish. Great head and lacing as well on this thoroughly quenching beer.
