| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 27, 2007 Hazy dark amber with a large head, good lacing and retention. Aroma is very fruity with grapefruit and mangoes, but also notes of pine, resin and caramel. Flavor brings this, it’s all about the hops. Another PNW monster, but this one is well put together. yobdoog (1543), Woodridge NY, New York, USA

Grapefruit and pine nose, malt seems to be an afterthought. Very bitter grapefruit rind flavor, just a hint of sweet malt. Nice! tennisjoel (953), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 14, 2007 Nose is peachy mango. A sweeter flavored IPA. I also detect some tobacco notes. Not super bitter as some IPA’s come across. Nonetheless, a good effort, by a highly regarded brewer. jrob21 (1284), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 5, 2007 Cloudy orange color with a decent white head with some sticky lacing. Big hoppy flavors and aromas. Grapefruit flavors predominate. A nice malty smooth complexion to give this one some backbone. Bordering on a double ipa for me. You are left with some sweetness. Glad I smuggled this one back from SD so I could finally try it. yngwie (5089), Kristiansand, Norway
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 29, 2008 Bottle, 22oz. (yet another beauty from the_epeeist). Pours a hazy, orange-golden body, with a medium sized, off-white head. Hop-dominated aroma with pine, resin and citrusy fruityness, but there’s also room for a generous amount of malty flavors like beef-stock and sugar. Lots of bitterness in the flavor, piney and resiny, and sure malty too. Medium to full body, quite effervescent for an IPA. Quite a good dash of sweetness balances the bitterness in a nice way, leaving a pleasant finish. Sure a drinkable and pleasant IPA, dangerously hiding the alcohol, and begging you to have more.
