COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Essential Pale Ale is a deep golden color with hop aroma reminiscent of fresh fruit. The pleasing bitter taste from American hops is balanced with English and German malts, and offers a complex full flavored character that is smooth and refreshing.

On tap at brewery. Hazy, dark yellow appearance. Piney aroma. Medium, head that leaves lacing on the glass. buttery initial taste with a smooth, hoppy finish. Alcohol tastes lower than it is. Concentrated front of mouthfeel with small, fizzy carbonation. Pleasant brew but is less aggressive/experimental than other american ales of the style.

12oz bottle in a shaker. Pours golden with a lacy, white head. Aroma of pale and light caramel malts plus a decent amount of floral and light citrusy hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. A decent pale ale.

Orange-gold beer with a wonderful candied-orange peel aroma, with whiffs of honey, flowers and resin. Crisp bitterness and plain old citrus hop flavor. Useful and very tasty.

Very strong floral and citrus aroma. Not hoppy though... smooth drinkable beer.

Bottle. Pours a rather hazy copper color with a moderate white head. Nose is very slightly hoppy, but not much too it. Taste has a fair amount of bitterness, but it tastes cloudy, like there’s some sediment in there. Meh.

Bottle. Clear golden pour, with a white head. Citrusy hops, light fruit, caramel malt, and a bit of herbal notes. Fairly dry and drinkable. I like it better than the monumental IPA.

Good pale ale but not one i would call essential. Nice sessionable hoppy beer with a good balance. Average.

12oz bottle from Gail’s Hops and Grapes in Hickory. Copper pour with quarter inch white head. Aroma is herbal, floral, caramel. Tastes are the same - malty, light citrus, biscuity. Metallic vibe. Eh.

some fruit and some hop, some sweetness and a good malt finish. overall a nice pale except for a fizzy alka seltzer and fruit fizzy sensation that is tart with a saccharine tinge to it. quenching in that watery way.
