Essential Pale Ale is a deep golden color with hop aroma reminiscent of fresh fruit. The pleasing bitter taste from American hops is balanced with English and German malts, and offers a complex full flavored character that is smooth and refreshing.

PorterPounder (7116) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - FEB 16, 2016
Newport News, VA - Total Wine - 12 oz bottle. Slight haze to the medium golden pour, nice bubble action, soft snow white head with a nice film of lacing. Aroma has some slight spearmint accents, a touch of white grape fruitiness. Flavor is solid, standard pale ale, refreshing with some grainy notes, a hint of pear-like fruitiness, just a slight bitter citrusy back end. Mouthfeel has a nice fullness to it.

12 oz bottle with a packaged date of May 15 2015. Hazy golden body looks like unfiltered apple cider but has a durable head that leaves some lacing. Fruity and herbal hop aroma is a bit too earthy, but the fruit and herbal elements shine in the taste. Medium-high carbonation with a medium body.
