4 oz pour on draft at Rustico Alexandria. Very slightly hazy yellow with off-white head. Aromas of tropical fruit, citrus, floral notes. Tastes of tropical fruit, grapefruit citrus, stone fruit, floral notes, booze, hop oils. Medium body with a dry finish. Fantastic, probably my favorite double IPA out of VA.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Good for an Imperial IPA. The sweetness in an imperial tends to override the hop flavor. For IPA-heads the hop is everything. Some craft breweries can achieve the high alcohlol level of an imperial without completely drowning out the hops. Maniacal is not there but it lets a little hop flavor through.
