3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 ounce bottle, a buddy of mine picked it up for me on a recent trip to Virginia. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a cloudy light copper color with some sediment floaties noticeable. Thereís also a half inch off-white head that didnít stay around for too long. Decent amount of lacing. Aroma is mostly citrusy (tropical fruit, orange peel) hops along with some caramel malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, it tastes mostly like citrusy (tropical fruit, pineapple, orange peel) hops, caramel malt and some light piney hops. Mouthfeel/body is medium, itís a bit creamy and coating with a good amount of carbonation. Itís also smooth and easy to drink. Itís a solid brew, I wouldnít mind trying this one again in the future.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
underrated brew, citrus and floral aroma. Small head. Very refreshing for an IPA, good session brew all around. Nice hopbite. Reminded me of ŕlfur

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I quite liked this one. Had some fairly nice and decently strong hops that really cut through a richer dinner. It finished really clean, and was really easy on the palate.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Lightly sharp, pretty e-z with the hops. Lite floral notes in the aroma. A bit of caramel and citrus pith. Good, but it seems more like a pale ale than a monumental IPA.

1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Minimum off-white head over metallic orange-golden beer. Oxydized, nutty, off-aromas. Oxydation, acrid bitterness, nutty and walnutpeelextract. Astringency, dead beer. Ouch.

Tap at Port City in VA. Pours clear, light amber. Almost no head. Sharp onion, sweet root vegetables, grapefruit an citrus peel. Taste is oily, bitter, sappy. Lacing is sticky and webby. Sweet, gamey melon taste. Rich and interesting.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Location: 12 oz bottle from Normís, 4/11/12
Aroma: The aroma has light hop notes, orange/citrus, earth, caramel, toffee, and bread
Appearance: Pours a orange-amber color with a thin off-white head and spotty-sheeting lace
Flavor: It is mid-sweet with a bread/biscuit, some light bitterness, some earthy hops, and a bit of tea
Palate: This one has a somewhat light body, with a soft carbonation, a decent feel, and a short duration
This one is fine enough, but nothing special. For the style I would have liked some more fresh and aromatic hops, but they seemed to be a bit lacking. Thereís nothing particularly wrong with this one, but thereís nothing particularly right about it either.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Pours a copper color with decent, though not perfect clarity. Many trails of carbonation are evident rising to the top. The head is ever so slightly darker than in most IPAs (with a light cream color, one finger tall), and has very good retention and lacing.
S: There are notes of caramel, grapefruit, and a little pine. The scent is a little mild, but it smells like it has good balance, at least.
T: Like I suspected it might be, itís a malty, balanced IPA thatís easy to drink, but rather unassuming. A slight touch of citrus is augmented by caramel maltiness, with a finishing piny kick. There are also touches of diacetyl near the finish as well, suggesting itís more English IPA than American. Still, these buttery notes never get in the way of the other flavors, rendering it pleasant but wholly unspectacular overall. It has íenoughí flavor - no more, no less.
M: A bit heavy, but nice smoothness with a slightly dry finish. Thereís a hint of a lingering aftertaste, but itís not as strong as Iíd like it to be. Middling carbonation.
O: Thereís nothing intrinsically wrong with it at all, but itís desire to forsake boldness for ease of drinkability hurts its score a tad. I canít in good conscience call this a session beer, but its easygoing nature makes it a good choice to pair it up with some food. Those looking for a full-flavored kick in the face can safely skip this one. Those looking for a nice introductory IPA or a drink to go with their dinner should give this one a try.
