Monumental IPA is a rich copper color, and is intensely hoppy. We add a special blend of American hops throughout the brewing and fermentation process to create a complex combination of aroma and flavor. This ale exhibits floral notes, flavors of citrus and resin, combined with delicious caramel background notes. The balanced style will keep the palate fresh and invite the drinker back into the glass.

On tap at brewery. Coppery, yellow color with hazy appearance. Pillowy head that quickly dissipates. Classic piney/grapefruit hop aroma. Hits you at the front.top of mouth and the bottom half of the tongue. Larger carbonation. Pretty average IPA.

Bottle from GBBF 2016 and drunk at home. Hazy brown amber colour lasting off white head. A little bit sweet and tired hop on the aroma. To be honest it isnít oxidised, itís just a malty old style east coast IPA. A malty ipa with some hop and some bitterness on the finish. Decent mouthfeel. Touch of grapefruit on the hops. Smooth toffee. Itís a decent old style east coast ipa but I guess it doesnít cut the mustard with the new style big hop ipas. OK.

Pours clear, bubbly copper with a thick, if not long-lasting, buff head. Aroma offers malty and hoppy notes with a hint of fruit. Hops come forth more in the flavor, resiny and a little woody but scarcely bitter. Fresh malt and pear provide a nice support. Mouthfeel is fairly firm, if fizz leaves a little to be desired. If not monumental, certainly worth a fair shake.
