COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Optimal Wit is brewed in the Belgian Wit Bier tradition. It is brewed with raw wheat and oats, and steeped with coriander, orange peel and grains of paradise. This ale is a pale golden color with a bit of cloudy haze from bottle conditioning. This unfiltered ale offers layers of complex, nuanced flavors that evolve in the glass. It finishes crisp and refreshes the palate.

Cloudy white with a thinnish head on draft at citizen burger bar. Aroma is almost nonexistent. A bit citrus flavor actually mostly citrus because there’s not a lot of anything else. Decent wit though.

12 oz bottle. Bottled on 07/09/2014. (Chip’s Wine & Beer) Kill Devil Hills, NC.
Hazy yellow golden colour with a tiny white head. Citrus, coriander, wheat, yeast and some spices in the aroma. The flavour is coriander, wheat, citrus, mild yeast and some spices. Quite true to Belgian Witbier. Enjoyable.

Appearance: hazy bright yellow, one finger of bright, creamy white head. Aroma: good nose of light cracked pepper, toasted coriander, citrus, and wheat. Taste: as the aroma indicates. Finish: zippy finish, with a bit of citrus, a hint of bubblegum, and a little wheat. Notes: Super palate, extremely refreshing. Great example. On draft at the awesome Full On in Rockville, MD.

12 oz. bottle from my secret Santa! Hazy yellow pour, with a big, foamy, white head. The aroma is bready, lemons, light coriander, and . Citrusy and bready sweetness, with minimal bitterness. Light body, creamy, with light astringent and acidic finish. This is quite a nice, refreshing witbier.

Pale straw-colored beer with a fizzy bright white head. Spicy nose of coriander, bitter orange, and slight sour yeast. Flavor has some good spice upfront that gives way to a mild sweetness and ends with a slight bitterness that lingers. Surprising layers of flavor for a wheat beer, this is pretty decent.
