COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Optimal Wit is brewed in the Belgian Wit Bier tradition. It is brewed with raw wheat and oats, and steeped with coriander, orange peel and grains of paradise. This ale is a pale golden color with a bit of cloudy haze from bottle conditioning. This unfiltered ale offers layers of complex, nuanced flavors that evolve in the glass. It finishes crisp and refreshes the palate.

12 oz. bottle from my secret Santa! Hazy yellow pour, with a big, foamy, white head. The aroma is bready, lemons, light coriander, and . Citrusy and bready sweetness, with minimal bitterness. Light body, creamy, with light astringent and acidic finish. This is quite a nice, refreshing witbier.

A blonde wit with a thin off white head. In aroma, light fruity malt with light banana, grassy notes, mineral. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with light cloves, mineral notes, a bit light. On tap at Bacon and beer Classic.

Pale straw-colored beer with a fizzy bright white head. Spicy nose of coriander, bitter orange, and slight sour yeast. Flavor has some good spice upfront that gives way to a mild sweetness and ends with a slight bitterness that lingers. Surprising layers of flavor for a wheat beer, this is pretty decent.

weihenweizen (1746) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - JUN 29, 2014
Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy pale golden with small white head. Orange/Coriander aroma, medium body, medium carbonation, and pretty good small bubble lacing. Taste is coriander, orange, spice (mostly grains of paradise), some floral, some grassy, some bubble gum, with crisp finish. Soft beer with a fair amount of complexity (especially for the style) and flavor, pretty enjoyable really.

12oz bottle. Looks light. Aroma of light wheat, light spices, pale malts, and hints of bitterness. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not the best for its style.

Bottle, from nimbleprop – thanks! Pours a cloudy pale yellow (very pale) with two fingers of fluffy white head. Aroma of grains and light citrus, just a touch of florals. Same in the taste, but a little spicier with coriander. Finishes crisp.
