Elwood (3077) - Leesburg, Virginia, USA - JAN 6, 2013
Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine Sterling. It pours a dark brown with a lasting light tan head. Nice lacing too. The nose roasty with slight prune notes. The flavor has a good bit of roast bitterness, nice earthy notes, a little smoke, and slight wood. Fairly full bodied with a medium finish. Maybe a bit heavy for a porter, but still pretty tasty.

Large mocha colored head with good lacing over a dusky body. Aroma of roasted malts, molassas and bitter chocolate with a mild metallic off-note. Modestly hopped, lactose-like sweetness with hints of dark fruit. Medium bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel leadiing to a long lasting finish.

12oz bottle pours a dark brown/black with a thin tan head. Aroma chocolate malts and a fruity cherry Robitussin aroma. Taste of chocolate, coffee, oats, slight fruits, with a bitter earthy yeast finish. Pretty decent Porter.

12 ounce bottle pours dark brown, aromas of roasted malt, coffee, light chocolate, and some grain. Flavors were a nice blend of coffee, malt, and chocolate. Light on the palate, nice porter overall.
