12oz bottle from richdorchak, thanks Rich! Pours a black body with a finger-width, dense and creamy, brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is sweet smoke and roast, licorice spice, and a lighter dark chocolate malt backing. There is some fruitiness from the yeast, minerals, and caramel. Flavor is similar. Smoke and roast up front with a sweet dark chocolate malt backing along with some caramel, earth, and a light licorice spice. Finishes smooth and dry with a light roasty, smoky, earthy bitterness along with a nice dark chocolate and caramel malt backing. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a decent porter. Some smokiness to the roasted malts with a decent chocolate and caramel malt backing. Nothing special, but enjoyable.

This is a dark and super thick. This has lots of roasted and smokey notes to it that make it a great drink. It’s heavy and not something for a hot day.

Black pour, moderate head, low aroma of mild roasted malt. Taste is subtle, balanced, roasted malt and hints of licorice, low-to-moderate complexity, with a dry finish, only the slightest lingering bitterness. This is a decent porter.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Dark black pour. Small mocha head. Nose is of chocolate, roasted malts, coffee. Good body. Decent carbonation; creamy finish. Hefty. Great roasted flavors abound. Mild cocoa finish. Alcohol is not noticeable. Really a good beer that hit the spot. Perfect cure for my roasted-fix.

Lightly sweet porter with an edge of herbs and a little funk or ash(?). It has an odd note or two, but it is still good.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of ksurkin. Pours a very dark brown color with a medium sized, but rapidly disappearing beige head. The aroma has coffee, roasted malt, dark chocolate, a splash of caramel sweetness and a hint of smoke. The flavor has bittersweet chocolate, roasted malts that that tend toward being charred, black coffee, perhaps a splash of fruits at the back. The finish is dry with lasting bitterness. Overall, this is a decent straightforward porter that I am glad to have had the chance to try.

Very impressed. Pours dark brown with moderate white head. Lots of lacing. Nose and palate are rich chocolate, some coffee and slight roast. Full body but not heavy. Very smooth. Moderate lingering finish that is very satisfying.
