Picked up a single 12-oz aluminum can during ABA Annual Meeting in Columbus, Ohio. Pours a clear golden straw colored lager with a fast dissipating white head that leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of golden grain malt, some corn, light grassy hops and a touch of rice. Taste is light bodied, some faint pear and golden grain malt with corn. Finish is quite watery, some sweet creamed corn then a crisp, clean cut and no aftertaste. A light beer it is.

Transfer from BA review on 5-27-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance- The beer pours a clear straw color with a big fizzy white head. The head fades very fast leaving almost no lace on the sides of the glass. Smell- The aroma is heaviest of sweet corn and a whole lot of sour grapes . Some grain and a little bit of a papery smell are there as well. Taste -The taste begins with some light corn sweetness and a light grainy flavor. It is fairly consistent throughout the taste were in the middle it is joined by a rather tart and sour taste of green grapes and apples. These flavors take the taste to its end where they are joined by a little bit of bitterness and a slight paper taste, with them all, in the end, leaving a overall sour and light corny taste to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel –The body of the beer is very light with a carbonation level that is high. It is quite appropriate for the style as it hides any off flavors and makes it more refreshing. Overall- A rather average light beer at a rather low price. It has much more sourness then the average light brew and is a bit more complex. It is not spectacular, but would make a good session style brew for a tailgate or the like.

Can thanks to DrSilverworm. Drank from the can. Smells like cold macro lager. Rather strong malt aroma with some corn and graininess. Looks pale yellow but hard to tell when dranking from a can. Taste is really bad. Rather husky and astringent. Gets more tolerable as I continue to sip, but still pretty bad. Some apple as it warms too.

24oz can, bought at Kroger. Shared with friends over a game of Catan. Clear golden color. Thin white head. Couple dots of lace. Looks solid. Medium body. Kind of rough, lighter carbonation. Sort of soft and smooth, though. Lightly dry finish. Bready aroma, wheat, corn, wet soggy bread, water. Light acidic. Definitely more bite in this one than in standard Port Republic. Maybe not as fresh? Not nearly as good, rougher in both texture and taste. Some unpleasant, out of place citric acidity. Not good.

Extremely clear straw yellow color with minimal bubbles. Candied citrus aroma with malt and aluminum undertones. Crisp clean palate that should be consumed cold.

Pours a clear gold with a surprisingly lasting head.Very little aroma. Flavor is quite thin and watery. Not offensive, just another macro thirst quencher.

Tasted on 5/15/13 from a 24oz can purchased at Kroger for one dollar. Pours yellow/orange with an average white head that slowly recedes to thin, fizzy lace. The nose is more or less non-existent with just a light touch of corn flake malt. The flavor is pretty much the same, this is lightly flavored water. The body is light with fizzy carbonation and no finish whatsoever.

Poor aroma, very light on flavor... tastes mostly of carbonation until it fizzles out leaving behind a pseudo beer after taste...watery

24 oz can $1.00 at Kroger in Roswell, Ga. Pours a clear gold with a fizzy force-carbonated head. Aroma is bread dough and corn, with some skunk. Taste is inoffensive, but typical for a light beer. Bland and refreshing, but for a dollar, I’d buy it again.

Indeed bought at Kroger in Decatur GA. A lighter version of the regular port lager but not a whole lot of difference. The corn flavor is still there. This one isn’t horrible just your typical boring lite swill lager but nothing offensive to talk about.

Wilmington Island, Ga - Kroger Supermarket - 24 oz can. Light golden pour, initial bubbly white head. Pretty much a neutral aroma, hints of grass. Flavor is pretty bland but non-offensive. Picks up some distant sweet honey notes, some wet paper bag. Mouthfeel is leaning to the dry side. Had worse.
