Aroma – Very nice amount of hops coming off the nose.
Appearance – Amber in color, Nice head and clear.
Flavor – A nice balance bitter beer. Had a buttery flavor to it all through out it was nice.
Palate – Good Mouthfeel, nice light texture with a dry finish.
Overall – This was a very nice bitter beer easy to drink and nice flavor.
after4ever (1696), Brier, Washington, USA Jan 9, 2008 22. Bit of a bummer about this one, shows a lot of promise. Crystal clear medium amber with a thick, creamy tan head and plenty of lace. Sweet dusty bready nose, showing some sweet corn and strawberry as well. Too bad. Body’s on the light side of medium, with a bit of woolly carb. Soft and sweet malty maris mid-palate, unfortunately joined by corn and strawberry. Long earthy, leafy hop finish. I’ll finish this beer even with the little flaws, but it sure seems like it could be pretty special if they tightened up the QA a little and got the DMS and esters outta there. scrizzz (473), kirkland, Washington, USA Sep 8, 2007 Hazy golden, firm head. Sweeter hop aroma, is that the fuggle? Solid bitter flavor, a little earthy, taste filled the mouth, even the roof. Went great with gruyere cheese. Angeloregon (1829), Portland, Oregon, USA Sep 6, 2007 Poured a amber-copper color with a medium-sized foaming white head that soon dissipated. Notes of an English beer. Cardboard flavor mixed with sweet hop-to-malt marriage. Decently hopped, but overall mediocre. robforbes (694), Bremerton, Washington, USA Jul 7, 2007 Updated: Jun 30, 2008re-rated: old rating 6/2/7/3/12-3.0
