Retorp (2158), Tampa, Florida, USA Jul 18, 2008 Courtesy of Acertain. Sweet cola-like, malty aroma with muted caramel notes. The body is a dark brown and holds a soda like fizzy, bubbly tan head that fades to nothing almost immediately. Mild roast bitterness quickly fades to very sweet molasses, cola, malt and chocolate. Despite the soda like pour it is pretty still in the glass. It actually grows on you as it warms getting nutty and more toasty with a more defined molasses profile.

(290308) Papsoe (9999), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 12, 2008 (Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of Maria. Pours a hazy, orangey brown with a bubbly, dissipating, off-white head. Lightly nutty aroma. Medium body with a gigantic carbonation that I doubt was ever intentional. Roasted malt and nut accents. The finish is dry without much bitterness. More of a Brown Ale than a Porter really. 290308 KimJohansen (3351), Copenhagen V, Denmark Apr 6, 2008 Dark brown with medium beige head. Sweet aroma with notes of roasted malt, coffee and caramel. Sweet flavor with notes of caramel and roasted malt and ripe fruits.
