3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 hayduke (2445) - Eureka, California, USA - SEP 18, 2011
This beer poured a slightly cloudy dark gold with a big foamy white head and decent lacing Nose of caramel malts, nuts, and spice. Flavor reminds me very much of English bitter and the mouthfeel was almost as smooth as a hand puled cask ale. Overall it was nice and easy to drink, and left me wanting more, always a good sign.

22 oz. bottle from Hayduke. We had it together via facebook chat. This beer pours hazy golden orange with a very small off white head. Ron reported that his had a big head but was poured at a warmer temp. Fairly hazy after rolling the bottle. Not a big nose but I got fruit and light spice. The flavor was very much to style. Nice gentle fruit, cinnamon, malt, grain, and cinnamon. At the finish some buttery caramel emerged. Call it toffee. This was quite nice and authentic. Ron has been to the UK and had many bitters there. While a bitter, this was not bitter at all. It was gently subtle and simple. I liked it.

On tap at the brewery. Unpleasant aroma but ok flavor. Slightly sour finish--kind of strange for being at the brewery (as if the line isn’t clean).

August 18, 2010 - 660ml bottle courtesy of jerc & mabel shared with blankboy and garthicus. Slightly hazy gold with a hint of amber and a smallish off-white fizzy/foamy head. Aroma of cereal grain, that "red" rye sharpness, a hint of alcohol, so dry, slightly acidic herbal bitterness. Solid flavour - tangy, grainy, not boozy, slightly pungent vaguely floral bitterness, and a whisper of some sort of overripe fruit (but not in a bad way, just acidic and sharp). Average body, lively mouthfeel, quick-finishing, leaving a slightly dry, herbal aftertaste; simple and pretty well executed.

Bottle [660ml] shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o j&m. Pours a cloudy copper-gold with an average size semi-lasting white head. Pretty decent aroma, a good amount of floral hops, along with caramel malt and fruit. Flavour hops, fruit, caramel malt a mild bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. Pretty good, I enjoyed it.

Thanks to Jerc & Mabel. Appearance: golden, ever so slightly cloudy. Aroma: nicely bitter, slight pine hop nose with the tiniest amount of sweat. Flavour: hops at first, moving onto pine, a tiny hint of mango, salt, long dry bitter finish. Not bad.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jerc (5444) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 17, 2010
2010-06-30. Crisp golden yellow body with a small white head. 3+ Flavour has modest hops and bitterness throughout, mild underlying malts with light caramel and toasty malt touches. 6+ Mild aroma, light fruit, something that probably is not the banana I thought I smelled, light grains. 6+ Average palate. Decent but just okay. On tap at Alderwood Bistro, Sequim
