Tap at Sirens. Hazy golden pour. Tight white head. The aroma is softly fruity and a little bit earthy. Some light orange citrus and a fairly assertive bitterness. Okay. A bit of an English yeast character but it kind of works.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a small, white head and a golden body. Aroma is very fresh flowery, earthy and dank C-Hops (I canít remember which one, but I have brewed with it before, and this beer smells like the raw hop pellets). Taste is fruity with a light raspberry note and a good deal of citrus and pine hoppiness. Light carbonation and a water like mouthfeel.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sharp pine hops in a nose otherwise dominated by yeast acetalhyde, giving it one of the most intense green apple aromas I’ve ever experienced. Thankfully you can actually taste some of the nice mandarin orange hop flavors along with the green apple and piney hop oil presence. On the palate it’s sharp and dry, with tart green apple (jolly rancher) and kiwi notes finishing it up.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2010-06-29. Dark yellow body with a nice foamy white head that fades. 3+ Mild aroma, modest hops, touch of citrus/floral notes. 6+ Flavour is milder than expected, but has a good amount of hops, grassy and mild citrus notes, moderate bitterness throughout, and a kiss of astringency in the finish. 7+ Average plus palate is just a touch lighter bodied than my preference. Decent, but suffers in comparison to the excellent Imperial IPA. On tap at the brewery, Port Townsend

The taste is citrus and herbal hops with caramel. Medium bodied. Well balanced straightforward IPA, just the way I like them.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber pours clear copper with thin off white head. I smell a quick pulse of grapefruit hops before a mixture of buttered bread, caramel, toasty malts and ginger bread cookies join the aromatic fun. The taste starts both malty and bitter. I get roasted malts, toffee, bread, a hint of caramel along with grapefruit hop and some pine hop bitterness. The hop bitterness grows as the taste progresses and it becomes a bit watery too. Toward the finish roasty and caramelized maltiness try and compete with the hops but come up short in the end. This is a fairly malty IPA with nice interest and lingering grapefruit hop bitterness into the after taste.
