330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Now that’s an attractive stout. Poured with a large, thick & creamy tan lacy head on a deep, dark - almost opaque - mahogany coloured body. Rich coffee, roasted malt & dark chocolate fudge cake aromas underpinned by some dark fruits, liquorice, subtle treacle & rum raisin ice cream. Roasted malt, coffee & dark chocolate on the tongue. Hefty, ’chewy’ malt flavours - some ashy, burnt notes at the back & liquorice, dark fruits beneath. Medium to full body, medium carbonation, warming in the throat with a lingering malt bitterness. Plenty of character, plenty of bitterness & plenty drinkable all at a style-modest 7%.

Dark brown creamy pour with thin beige/brown head. Heady, roasted malt aroma and sweet toffee. Bitter, sweet, malty, fruity tang, earthy with slight flecks of tea and peat. Hint of dark chocolate with a bitter finish. Good imperial stout from the PH lads! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle shared at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Slightly transparent black with a light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, some roastiness, a bit of fruitiness, soy sauce notes and some "green" hints. Sweet chocolaty flavor with some dark fruit hints and a drier and slightly herbal finish. Medium to full-bodied.

Bottle: Man I love this bottle: a pull-the-cap-off and a nice glass/iron thumb imprint of holding the bottle better, Looks cool. Nice brown head on top of a black colored beer. Smell honey, spices, honey liquorice and a hint of toffee. Taste liquorice, a good firm bitterness, hint of coffee, roasted malts and roasted barleys and a hint of hops. Nice bitter aftertaste with hints of liquorice coffee and herbs. Low carbo, soft mouthfeel, watery body and texture. It’s like a mix of liquorice and bitterness, not bad, but too much liquorice, just strange...
