Vertical with BA version
Aroma has lots of floury cocoa and some coffee notes. Also hints of vanilla. Flavour is malty with cocoa and some roasted coffee. Dry stuff, worse than the BA version.

Pours pitch black with a tiny foamy head. Aroma of roasty malts, some vanilla creamy notes. Taste is roasty and malty with some hints of vanilla and cream. Finish is malty and roasty. Okay, medium bodied stout.

Pours bitch black color with medium head. Aroma of ash, dry dark chocolate, mild vanilla hints and toasted malts. Flavor of dark ripe fruits, dark berries, dark chocolate notes and some hints of vanilla. A bit thin-bodied.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a pitch black colour with a small off-white head. Aroma of roasted malts, cacao and licorice. Flavour of roasted malts, cacao, licorice and dried fruits.Full bodied and rough mouthfeel. Finishes rough, malty and bitter. Lacks character because of the relatively low ABV and rough maltiness. This is more of a stout.

UPDATED: MAY 11, 2012 (Bottled) After their celebration 11 % , that had been resting in a bath of whiskey barrels , this was a more sobering offering from this brewery ...dark fruit, chocolate , roast , hops offer the nose ...Big beige head rests above imperial blackness : Drinking this rich and bitter roast , raisins , currants , burnt toast , creamy backdrops ..bitter hops too : Nothing between this and the barrel aged celebration really , both lack refinement but are pleasant and flavorsome .

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Now that’s an attractive stout. Poured with a large, thick & creamy tan lacy head on a deep, dark - almost opaque - mahogany coloured body. Rich coffee, roasted malt & dark chocolate fudge cake aromas underpinned by some dark fruits, liquorice, subtle treacle & rum raisin ice cream. Roasted malt, coffee & dark chocolate on the tongue. Hefty, ’chewy’ malt flavours - some ashy, burnt notes at the back & liquorice, dark fruits beneath. Medium to full body, medium carbonation, warming in the throat with a lingering malt bitterness. Plenty of character, plenty of bitterness & plenty drinkable all at a style-modest 7%.

Bottle.... It pours very black with a medium tan head..... the aroma is hops, dark chocolate and roasted malt.... the flavor is hops, coffee, roasted malt, licorice and dark chocolate.....

From a 33 cl bottle at home in Skövde. Dark beer with a big beige head. Chocolate, tar and a bit fruity aroma. Chocolate flavour, some bitterness and tar notes.

Bottle. Black beer with a nice lasting brownish head. Roasted chocolate aroma, tar and ash, vanilla, fruity notes, some cocoa, figs. Roasted tar and soot flavor, hoppy, salty, chocolate, cocoa, metallic notes. Quite heavy with à full body. Solid and very tasteful.

Black color with a very big creamy beige head. Roasted aroma. strange burnt taste.
