33 cl bottle @ hotel room in Copenhagen.
Pours bitch black color with medium head. Aroma of dark ash dry chocolate, dark toasted malts, hints of vanilla, bourbon and some coffee notes. Flavor of dark ripe fruits, dark chocolate notes and strong vanilla. Smooth and somewhat creamy palate with a thick mouth-feel.

Bottle. Black with short lived tan head. Nice aroma, chocolate, ovaltine, wood, vanilla, some alcohol, plum. Taste is a nice concoction of chocolate and wood, some dark fruit, licorice and a little alcohol. Slightly thin with a clean finish. Good beer

Bottle. Pours dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is superb. Vanilla notes from the wood which unlocked a smell memory of full-bodied red wine. Taste is fruits of the forest, burnt toast and ever-present alcohol. Lightly bitter finish. Some coffee and chocolate in there. Very nice.

Bottle @ kihoskh. Pours black with a small creamy beige head. Lots of vanilla, Chocolate and oak. Vague coffee roast. A bit of port and Warmth from alcohol. Lovely!

Flaske: Brunsort øl med et brunligt skumhoved. Duft af aske og meget brændte malte. Umiddelbart tænker man absolut ingen fadlagring. Tilgengæld er smagen dejlig overraskende. Masser af vanilie lægger sig ovenpå de brændte malte og gør det til en fornøjelse at drikke. Bare synd at duften og udseendet ikke er fantastisk.

UPDATED: MAY 6, 2012 (Bottled) fumes of chocolate , raisins , and roasted malts in a woodiness is there in the air ..blackness , beigeness ..... rich palate , lots of barrel ageing emphasis and roastiness , raisins and blackcurrants . A pretty pleasant drink.

Flöska. Pitch black colour, light brown small head. Lots of roasted malt and sweetness with dark fruits, chocolate and bit alcohol with wood. Good sticky mouthfeel. Flavour has lots of roasty maltiness indeed with good chocolate, dark fruit, wood, alcohol, licorice and a good dry bitterness. Sweet.

Bottle at Carsten & Jette, thx a lot. Black with a beige head. Aroma heavy malty (licorice, oak, whiskey). Flavor medium to heavy sweet with notes of licorice, dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, whiskey). Soft carbonated. Very nice at the right temperature, else a bit cloying.

Bottle. Black beer with a strong soon disappearing fizzy head. The aroma is fairly strongly coffee and vinous, and the flavour is very well roasted with a malty and vinous bitter finish. Overall a good very strongly flavoured stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at The Bottle Shop Canterbury. Black as hell body thin beige head. Woody vinous aroma. Some whiskey. Aroma like a good oloroso sherry. Woody. Yes too woody. Bug slap of alcohol and vanilla and just too much dry wood. Almost too much. The thing is there is a really good beer beneath this but the wood is too much now and will only grow. It is like licking a plank of pine wood and its too much. Its a decent little impy stout but the barrel ageing hasnt helped it too much as the plank overwhelms the fruit. Still its decent if a touch too woody
