I’m pretty sure this is the same beer as Porterhouse’s Heersbruker, just rebadged for the rock band Down ’N’ Outz

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 thewolf (9868) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAR 26, 2011
Bottle, bought @ Beermerchants.com.
Light hazy golden with a slight green hue. Big, frothy, white head on top. Fair duration. Aroma is fairly sweet, some pear, sweet malts, light caramel. Small bubbles, high carbonation. Fairly light mouthfeel but with good dryness and crispness. Flavour has good clean malts, a bit of caramel, light citric and fairly grassy with a bit of apricot thrown in. Very nice pilsner, actually.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Beershine (5173) - The Sunshine State, Florida, USA - MAR 9, 2011
Bottle from brewpub. Warm dark gold with chill haze and stable head. Quite the bland aroma but smells spritzy, fresh, crisp, misty, with a hint of fresh apple. Lively carbonation, almost champagne-like. Flavors are surprisingly good with crisp hop bitterness predominating and lingering. Overall not bad.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 gunnar (3586) - Sandnes, NORWAY - FEB 26, 2011
Bottle from Beermerchants. Pours clear light golden with a big frothy white head, disappears slowly. Aroma of dusty and cellarish malts, whiffs of citrus hops as well. Taste is better than suggested by the aroma, modest sweet malty with a well defined piney and grassy hops bitterness. Clean and dry palate. Lingering bitter aftertaste, flowers and lemons.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 DruncanVeasey (6114) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 29, 2011
Bottle. Encouraged by the previous raters’ comments, I drank this after a Kernel BIPA. It held up pretty well. Chunky gold with good, streaming fizz and a fine, undiminished white foam. Lean piney aroma with a rub of orange skin, wet grass and dollop of honey. Clean and herbal with good sprucey, grassy hop; lemon and honey hints and a proper bite of bitterness to finish. Some softening biscuit and breadstick there, but the bitterness is lingering- as it should be. Not just a lager like lots of ’pilsners’, but possibly the best British pils I’ve had.
