COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In response to growing interest in American style pale ales the Porterhouse has decided to resurrect a beer from our past. Based on a beer brewed somewhat ahead of its time, in our brewpub days, Hop Head is a highly aromatic, bitter, pale ale, made with the intention of satisfying the hop heads amongst us. Amber coloured, with a distinct malt character, generous use of hops for bittering and the triple addition of cascade and Hallertau Northern Brewer hops gives a conspicuous citrus character for both aroma and flavour. Along with a slightly higher alcohol content this results in a rich, fruity beer with an oily, citrus hop character and wonderfully rich, full mouthfeel.

HIGHB4LL (837) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - SEP 20, 2015
11.2 oz. bottle thanks to David. Appearance: golden, clear, great head retention, 3 fingers head, good lacing. Aroma: slight molasses, lemon, citrus, light pine. Palate: medium body, average to lighter carbonation, sticky, bitter finish. Taste: sweet molasses and light caramel, into a decent piney and light lemon bitterness that lasts, but not super long. Really more of a pale ale in the US. Overall, very pleasant, nice beer, interesting for the region.

330 ml, flaske, 5,0 % ABV, BB: 23/09/15, købt i Frederiks Villa i Fakse Ladeplads, 8. august 2015.
