Keg at ICBF 13. Pours a deep red amber, with a thick lasting beige head. I got a lot of chocolate, molasses and heavy toffee on the aroma. Big boozy sweetness in the flavour, which, despite it being pure maltiness, remains quite complex. Very smooth with a nice sweet aftertaste. Great and big beer.

garthicus (2595) - Dublin, IRELAND - JUN 28, 2013
On cask at Bull & Castle. Appearance: dark ruby red, medium thickness dirty white head. Aroma: malty with a great deal of musky perfume, some dark fruits with a hint of sweetness. Flavour: Yikes, big boozy first flavour with a ton of malt and a ton of dark fruit (raisins, prunes, figs). Quite a biscuit like taste too with a very long malty sweet finish. Nice but an odd beer to release in June & not in the winter.
