Brewed with fresh oyster. A smooth drinking aromatic stout with a discernible but unidentifiable aromatic aspect. Not suitable for vegetarians. This gently flavored stout has a roast malt character, full body and an aromatic character from the Goldings hops. Fresh oysters added during the brewing process, lend a discernible yet unidentifiable note.

Bottle. Hahaha not suitable for vegetarians. Regardless, this has no oyster character whatsoever so no need to panic. Pours a clear, deep ruby with a large, rocky, grayish/tan head. Excellent poofy lace. Subdued aroma with black cherry soda. Taste is slightly roasty, extremely light-bodied, with a watery mouthfeel.

Sampled at the Guess Who’s Back tasting. Dark brown pour with tan ring of head. Very unique. Like a weak sweet stout spiced like a christmas beer. Never had a beer brewed with oysters, but this is pretty interesting.

Pours a fading ring of tan head with a deep brown body. Aromas of mint, licorice, roasted, and coffee. Flavor is the same. Finish is dry.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Fireworks. It pours a very dark brown color with a large, frothy, tan head. The nose is roasty with notes of coffee, minerals, and a touch of chocolate. The flavor favors the roasted and mineral side with a slight brininess to it. A bit of coffee and dark chocolate are present as well. Medium bodied with medium carbonation lead to an average, slightly roasty finish. An interesting take on the style and while you can’t necessarily taste the oysters (a good thing), they do contribute to the overall quality of the beer by bringing a slight taste of the sea. Worth trying for sure.

Bottle. Pull-tab cap. Back label states 5.2% alc./vol. Black pour with a thick, frothy tan head. Aroma is strong roasted malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Taste is bitter coffee and hops, strong roasted malt and dark chocolate. Can’t necessarily detect oyster in this. Body is medium-full with a thick, creamy carbonation. Ends with more bitter coffee and hops, bittersweet chocolate and dark, roasted malt. Pleasing and very drinkable.

330, pulltop...bottle. Yeah, pulltop bottle. Never seen such a thing before. What will they think of next? Pours black with a dense, creamy, pillowy dark tan head. Nice roasty, salty nose, a little chocolatey, but much more to the brine. Creamy medium body. Soft carb, a little chalky dryness in spots. Nice roast, chocolate, and salty brine combination on the mid-palate. Good intensity and balance of flavor. Mild briny finish. Very sessionable and satisfying little stout.

Bottle: Pours a transparent dark mahogany with a spotty-lacing light tan head. Dry roasty, lightly smoky nose has a touch of British hops. Starts with light effervescence and a fairly thin body with dry roasty dark malty flavor before an earthy bitter finish with a hint of dark chocolate. Pretty true to the oyster stout style, but I prefer a little more body and sweetness.
