COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with fresh oyster. A smooth drinking aromatic stout with a discernible but unidentifiable aromatic aspect. Not suitable for vegetarians. This gently flavored stout has a roast malt character, full body and an aromatic character from the Goldings hops. Fresh oysters added during the brewing process, lend a discernible yet unidentifiable note.

Draught @ Porterhouse, WC2 London. Black color with a small creamy long lastng head. Aroma is hoppy, roadsted malty, and it has a unique aroma and taste, possibly because of the Oysters (saltwater). Flavor is also salty with roasted malt and a bitter dry hoppy finish. A little thin but still quite smooth.

From tap at Charlies. Pours clear, golden deep amber to dark brown with a creamy, dense and light tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, dark breadish and vague hardroasted acidic. Smooth breadish roasted, liqourice and dark chocolate flavoured. Creamy smooth mouthfeel. Bitter and slight acidic lingering flavour into the far finish. Nice one.

[Draft at Porterhouse, London] A pitch black beer with a firm creamy lasting chocolate brown head. The aroma is very lightly malty. The flavor starts of roasted, but thin for a stout, then comes flavors of caramel, before a slight salty (yes, salty - a first for me) end sets in.

On tap. Dark brown - close to black - with a reddish hue and a dense, lacing and creamy beige head with good retention. The nose is surprisingly subdued, perhaps a little roast and a vague whiff of butter. Light body, low carbonation, soft mouthfeel, hard roasted malts and a vague spicy touch - from the oysters? Fairly bitter finish - from both hops and malts. 281110

Clear dark red beer. Small and short lived tan head. Light crisp palate. Mild dark malts with a whisper of smoke and mild roast. Minerals. Mild tang. Good carbonated bite in the finish. More porter like.

Nitro-draught at The Wharf, Aalborg, as Dublin Bay Oyster, 4.8% ABV
Dark brown color, almost black, with creamy nitrogen head. Smooth texture with a dry mouthfeel. Less roasted malt and more liquorice than expected; some feeling of seaweed and salt, not fishy, a bit soapy; bitterness from the roasted malts.
Confusing, artificial, rather unpleasant.
